Don't take it too serious
13 April 2019
Martial arts have been most of my life ever since I joined junior Judo when I was 5, I live and breathe martial arts and obviously love seeing movies and shows where they are included.

Saw the imdb rating and read some reviews and I got pretty excited about this. What a shocker it turned out to be tho. Did not expect some d-grade production with god awful acting and absolutely horrible fight scenes. I am not in the movie biz at all but our Tea Kwon Do club does get some gigs making fight scenes for film student projects and I can assure you, it is super super easy to do better than they do in Warrior.

But! As I kept on watching the 2 eps I've seen I kinda started to enjoy the campy silliness, this kinda reminds me of the 60's Batman. It's just camp with god awful performances and parody fighting, and for what it is, it's pretty enjoyable. Will keep watching.

Not bad at all
3 May 2016
Spoiler free.

When I originally learned about the show I thought it'd be too YA for me. Not at all a fan of the genre. Then I read some reviews here, reviews bashing the show. But then I finally gave it a shot after some friends kept telling me to and I'm so glad I did.

The show is in no way just some teen drama, from very early on it has some very heavy scenes and strong emotions. The production is very fine to say the least, unlike some say it doesn't look or feel low-budget at all. The actors do their jobs well (great character development) and the story develops and progresses very smoothly. The mysterious parts keep you interested and there are well written story lines and twists.

If this type of genre is at all your cup of tee I'd strongly suggest giving it a go. The pilot might not convince you but after a few episodes it all starts to build up very nicely.

Overall it's a good show, 8/10

Does justice to a legendary tale
14 April 2016
This is the first time I write a review here and I keep this spoiler free.

The Jungle Book (2016) is a movie about a story a lot of people here have grown up with. Maybe it was the book or the 1967 animated movie, this story is very close to millions of hearts.

And this movie does justice to the story.

The movie has all the elements what made the animated one break into our hearts. It has a lot of depth but it's also still fun. Laughs, tears, action and some deep moments to think of yourself as a part of the animal kingdom.

The CGI is quite impressive, the child actor Neel Sethi does a wonderful job, the voice acting is superb, especially Idris Elba as Shere Khan.

Overall, this is a home run for Disney. 8/10.
