A fun collection of short stories
21 October 2011
I had the pleasure of viewing this collection of short films based on Poe stories last year, at a special limited engagement screening, and was quite impressed. An excellent blend of spot-on acting, adaptation and talented direction made this a very enjoyable experience, considering it was most likely shot on less than a shoe-string budget.

Of the tales shown, my personal favourite was that of William Wilson. A chilling tale of murder and identity, this one has stuck in my mind this whole time. Great camera work, terrific acting and had a tight, solid pacing structure coupled with great on-location filming made this one most memorable for me.

Hopefully this will have a chance to reach a wider audience, so that people can see that semi-professional, budgeted films can in fact be good.
