Suntali (2014)
Nepali Test !!
Nepali movie: Suntali is a story of beautiful and a mysterious girl in a sleepy village with a powerful and wicked matriarch. Based on an old saying, "Your sins return to roost from the rooftops", it is a tale of revenge and vengeance. Directed by Bhaskar Dhungana, the film features Priyanka Karki in the lead role as Suntali and Suryamala Khanal as Suvedarni or Chinmaya. Other important characters include Karma and Arpan Thapa. Suntali was selected for the Busan International Film Festival, one of the largest film festivals in Asia. As for much of the part the movie, a thief (although it was not mentioned, he looked like a thief) was always tied up with a hawaldar (junior post of police), but when the hawaldar was shot at the climax, the prisoner was not with him. May be they could have showed something for this. Also, the movie tries to create a difficult situation for Suntali as Bihari looked to blackmailing her but they never explain how Bihari finds Suntali or how she is trapped and the mystery is still lurking in my head. Also, it was known in the climax that Suntali was back for her vengeance on Subedarni but I was not much satisfied with her revenge. The script could have been more than this. Suntali is a well made movie, with different approach of storytelling, but because of not so striking story, it's difficult to recommend anyone. Watch the movie it at your own risk.....
Wrong Turn VI (2014)
Horror Fun, Nothing More !!!!!
The film is pretty enjoyable. It's mindless horror fun with the mystery of lurking inbreds long since removed by familiarity with the franchise formula, and hardly a classic by any stretch, but if the goal is to zone out on some horror for a little while and have your attention kept focused on something other than the outside world, Wrong Turn 6 fits the bill. This has been a fun franchise that doesn't try to be what it isn't – It is horror fun with lots of gore and crazy inbreds, nothing more. Wrong Turn 6 actually succeeds is in the storyline. As mentioned earlier the plot line emphasis began to take more of a center stage with Wrong Turn 5, and that concept continues through to this effort. Sure, there are plot holes and big problems, but it is nice to see that if the gore isn't going to be as dramatic as in the past, at least a little effort was made to ramp up the story to help compensate. Not as good a story as Number 5, but definitely better than the story-deficient Number 4.
