So that's how James Brown did it..."Beat the Devil" is worth 8 minutes of your time. If you are interested in watching Gary Oldman in a "Darkness" type suit on with wacky hair and makeup, this movie is for you! Of course Clive Owen plays the mysterious type really well, and as always looks good in a BMW. And then there is James Brown. He has some pretty good lines and he had a good pace...not a bad actor. It is actually pretty funny if you think about it... I mean James Brown wanting to renegotiate a contract with the devil! And since the only way the devil likes it is "winner take all", then they have to race down through Las Vegas and the desert. If this movie were made into a normal length film, I would definitely see it.

This movie is absolutely wonderful. It's delightful. Danny Kaye does a wonderful job, and can say anything at any speed. Truly a fun movie to watch! The sequence with "Vessel With A Pestle" is just awesome. You sit there and wonder how on earth this man can talk that fast and understand him. But he can pull it off. As far as I'm concerned, he can dance, he can sing, he can act; so he can pull anything off! They should make movies like this more often. From a lady's point of view, Danny Kaye is the perfect man lol. There is also a very cute baby in here with a very cute birthmark on his cute little butt. If you are into the old pictures and enjoy a good film you should most definitely see this movie!

I thought that this was an excellent movie. It was a love story, but there were so much more elements to it. You have to be a fan of these kind of stories to enjoy it. I thought it was different from all the vampire/werewolf movies. I loved it. And you just know that there is going to be a second one. I can't wait!
