The Unlisted (2019)
For what it is, this is really good. Big thumbs up!
This is so very suitable for families watching together or pre-teens and kids on their own. I am a grown arsed adult and I enjoyed it as something light hearted and not super high budget or intensely plot filled. Sometimes in between the great and super great you need to watch something lighter but still well made. My nieces and nephews enjoyed this too. The acting was cute and it's nice to see diversity coming from Australia as it feels like they need to catch up to the rest of the world in what they export out. I kept changing from 8 stars to 7 and back but settled at 7 in the end as I have rated other shows 8 and overall it's a 7. If this was in a category of its own definitely 8 or 9.
Underworld: Awakening (2012)
Only scored 7 so they make the next one!! This was not a good film
I love the Underworld series and 1&2 are my all time favorite films. I personally loved the darkness and the love between Selene and Michael in those two films it was like you could feel their emotions and root for them without it being a soppy love fest.
This film was disappointing, it was way too short and didn't follow a good plot to any conclusion at all. There were elements that had potential but nothing came to fruit. Casting was good the action was good but no story or depth and not enough Michael!! Please make the next one better!!! I had such high hopes for this film I wanted it to be epic, I wanted Selene and Michael to add the brooding fierce forbidden love to create that dark atmosphere.
What a fail, but I will faithfully watch further films in the hope it has to get better than this.
Pretty Little Liars (2010)
Very frustrating and unrealistic, crap storyline & acting
I actually continued watching out of boredom but after almost three seasons have given up!! Its the worse thing on TV and no its doesn't get better, season three I lost hope and it made me give up completely and i will not be watching anymore.
What freaks me out the most is the disgusting and disturbing relationship a 16year old school girls starts with a college Professor. I thought after season 2 this would end as it makes me physically sick! But no, after causing her parents to divorce the girl (Aria) is almost shacked up with the guy. What an example to young impressionable girls!
What a waste of time and energy a whole series built on LIE after Lie to all the families and boyfriends/girlfriends etc with the most ridiculous story ever written, the audience is treated like a bunch of fools and trust me you are if you continue to watch this bullsh!t.
Only gave it a three because the casting is good but these actors could do so much better in another show. This show deserves a minus 5.
Dallas (2012)
Great so far but I want more characters and glamour
I recall the original as I watched quite a bit of it as a child. I do think that Dallas 2012 has the potential to be even better than the old series as the story lines are more thought out. However I did love the original for the cheese and glam factor and it was a guilty pleasure.
Its a good start so far and I'm so glad Bobby and JR Ewing are playing real-time ages and they help to build that nostalgic feeling along with the South fork ranch. The casting is good especially Jesse Metcalf as he really looks the part and surprisingly acts well too.
However the actress that plays Elena (Jordana Brewer)doesn't seem to fit the bill, she is too gaunt and skull-like (great description from another reviewer!)and this makes the love triangle seem unrealistic at times. If she put on even 7lbs she may look as good as she did in Fast and Furious, she looks old and haggard right now almost like a recovering anorexic.
Apart from that a good first series and I look forward to the season finale next week and hopefully not too long of a wait for season 2 hopefully with more glamour , good looking people and all the other trappings of the wealthy we love to dream about!
Game of Thrones (2011)
Even better than sliced bread!!
Wow!!! This is a series you won't regret watching, it was amazing from start to finish, each episode was superb. When GoT aired on Sky Atlantic here in the UK I couldn't watch it because like 60% of the population I don't have Sky TV but another digital TV provider.
But I am so glad I made the effort to watch this online. I was hooked and spent three days watching the whole 10 episodes last month. This lead me to buy and read all of the books released so far. I am eagerly awaiting season 2 and even though I've read the books it wont diminish my pleasure as I know the producers can and will do justice to this epic tale.
Thank you HBO, well done and please don't stop until George RR Martin writes the last book and you have delivered us the entire story, I look forward to a few years of good TV.
