Elsbeth (2024– )
9/10
Columbo
7 April 2024
Quite a surprise. Of course, I am always intrigued when a new shows comes up on my radar, especially with a large amount of press, and social talk.

This one has an (almost) unique premise. Of course Elsbeth is a precocious, somewhat annoying, character but after awhile her charm is stronger than her annoying idiosyncrasies ... and after awhile, you see the similarities to other older crime or detective shows.

No, this is not a spoiler. But please argue with me if you disagree. First, you can see the OCD qualities of Monk, but more personally I see Columbo in her personality.

Oh, another thing ... LOL.

Good Trouble: What Now? (2024)
Season 5, Episode 20

what a way to say goodbye!
10 March 2024
For me .... the best way to say goodbye for a beautiful series, two actually, especially the flashback sequence of some of their best moments.

Wonderful.

All the plots were tied together neatly ... well ... maybe to not everyone's satisfaction but you can't please everyone.

At least the show did not drag on too far and there was no jumping the shark. Now all I have to do is find copies of The Foresters so that I can watch from the very first beginning.

I am sure I will be following the characters, actors and actresses, in the next few years, especially the two leads.

Well done ... everyone!

Drive Thru History (2005– )

one of the best things that happened in my life!
9 March 2024
I found this surfing on my cable provider in the GTA in Canada. I tend to look for anything entertaining. It is a new cable selection, a Christian channel.

Drive Thru History ... who knew! I started watching the episodes, mid-series, with curiosity. But then I was hooked! Everyday I will watch the two episodes religiously (pardon the pun!) I have read the Bible and have been going to church my life. Yet, I have learned so many things. More importantly, AND I STRESS THIS, all doubts were erased and any things I was not sure about, were confirmed with this series.

Through archaeology, research, history, and eye witnesses, there is proof that the prophets lived, the four gospel writers, Paul, and Jesus lived.

Now, I am telling my friends, and church friends, even pastors, how wonderful this series was. This is one of the best things that happened in my life. Thank you!

Yellowstone: The Reek of Desperation (2019)
Season 2, Episode 3
10/10
I will always watch if he is here!
29 December 2023
I have liked and disliked Neil for years but he is so someone that I will hooked on.

Great job Yellowstone.

I have been binge watching this for the last few days ... yes, In Canada, I have to wait five years for it to be on free TV. But it was worth the wait. This is only season 2 and I look forward to the rest of the seasons. Besides the usual regulars, the indigenous professor keeps getting better and stronger.

I don't know I will get to watch more episodes but I know I will be watching, for better or for worse.

And it is a relief to see Kevin Costner in a success, not a failure. (yeah, in a cowboy hat too)

The King of Queens: Vocal Discord (2005)

finally, an episode that learned to love itself!
5 June 2021
I'm binge watching King of Queens since almost the beginning and not always satisfied. In fact, I'm getting tired of the yelling (at least All In The Family and The Connors had redeeming values). This episode taught its characters to love each other. The last scene was one of the best ever ... but I can't tell you ... it's a spoiler.

Jack Reacher (2012)
10/10
yes, it's Tom Cruise
14 March 2021
Anyone putting down this movie just because it's Tom Cruise, then don't watch it. Don't worry, this is not an angry rant. I just want everyone to know what they are getting into when they watch this movie. If you have any qualms, just remember that there wouldn't be any Jack Reacher movies, if it weren't Jack Reacher buying the rights to make the movies, and producing them.

Believe it or not, he does admirable in this role. Yes, he is completely different than the books but it was still so much to watch. All you have to do is what you normally watch a movie like this (re: Avengers, Mission Impossible, John Wick) ... suspend your beliefs!

I will still read all Lee Child (and now Andrew Child) books
