Unforgotten (2015)
World Class British drama, US take notes.
So let me tell you something. I have been watching Crime dramas for well over 20 years now and this show is up there with the very very best, like top 3. I first saw Nicola Walker in a little ITV production in 1999 called " last Train" and there and then I said we would be watching this fine actress for years to come and has been in some of the most loved dramas of the last 20 years(last tango in Halifax, Scott and Bailey, spooks, the split, River, collateral) not to mention a brilliant turn to win an Olivier award in 2013 for The curious incident of the dog in the night-time.
Now less Nicola Walker(2 time BAFTA nominee, overdue surely?) and more of this great show. It's simple, it's magnetic it's star turns the brilliant Sanjeev Bhaskar(a shoe in for a BAFTA) the star ensemble season after season and the exceptional writing of Chris Lang which bounds together a clever mix of twists and puzzling endings has you aching for it not to end. I'll look forward to Season 5 with Sunny and the rest of the team come 2022.
Motherland: Christmas Special (2020)
So Funny
Just the funniest, silliest, maddest but great acted comedy. There are some serious laugh out loud moments. All the lead cast are amazing. Anna Maxwell Martin is a seriously greet actress.
Schitt$ Creek (2015)
Simply the best
Quite simply the best show that has ever aired. I have never loved a show more than I have this. It's a breathtaking piece of TV. It's important, it's never been more prevalent now and it's so utterly easy to watch. This show is from start to finish incredible. Never before have I seen a show with such heart and importance. I will love this show forever, Honestly I have never in my life seen anything more genius in writing and performance. 100/100 perfect
Dating Amber (2020)
Simply stunning
A simple, funny and charming story about love, friendship and being who you are. Lola Petticrew and Fionn O'Shea are brilliant as the 2 teens struggling to come out.
The Green Mile (1999)
Best film ever made
Of all of the films that I have ever watched, this has to be the most perfect film, I have seen thousands of films in my lifetime. This has everything and is up there with the best film making ever.
Motherland (2016)
Simply outstanding
Perfect comedy with great actors and hilarious plots. I laughed so hard at most scenes I couldn't breathe. Bravo BBC. Can't wait for the next series
A Star Is Born (2018)
Just perfection
I watched this on Saturday and I knew from reviews that it was going to be great, but I didn't realise just how special this was. From the opening credits to the " somewhere over the rainbow" verse. Lady Gaga is give one of the best performances I have ever seen in a film. I'm a massive fan of her with her music and her live stadium performances but in this you forget that your watching gaga and you realise you are witnessing one of the most stunning performances by any actor or actress today. Come February of 2019 the Best actor of this year will be handing the biggest prize in film to this incredible woman. This film is classic from the very first 10 minutes and continues right till it's conclusion, Bradley Cooper is phenomenal and is shatteringly good as lady gagas beau. This will walk away with box office plaudits and multiple multiple Oscar nominations and wins.
Call Me by Your Name (2017)
Just perfection
This film for me is quite simply a classic. The acting, the setting, the dialogue the audacity to write such beautiful scenes. This film will be fresh in years to come. Timothee Chalamet is breathtaking and a huge star in the making.
This Country (2017)
Outstanding
Simply outstanding and hillarious comedy writing and acting. This is so close to perfection.
