Almacenados (2015)

These two characters were well chosen and meant to be together in the movie.
2 July 2020
Both characters are brought together by life. Both have age and personality differences. At first, this is what one leads to believe that they won't be able to make it together. The young guy may appear to have aspirations and is inquisitive at first, something contrary to the older guy. By end of the movie, it makes the young guy change his point of view and this seems to,at first, disappoint the older gentleman, but later is okay with it. This movie is correctly tagged on Netflix partly as dramedy and deadpan. This movie was written by the same writer from the movie The Platform, another great movie.

Awesome movie about learning about oneself and staying single.

I disagree with poster jrneptune who says the guy was "running away from commitment and maybe even responsibilities in life" as if these two are an obligation for every guy in the world. It's more like the guy in the movie, through a road trip, was learning about himself and connecting with people and nature. This made him discover that, possibly, it was better for him to stay single and run from the ball and chain. I think that was a very wise decision. The title of the movie "Big Significant Things," I want to think, clearly implies what he learned : the big significant "things" (objects) he was looking in his road trip, were actually the big "things" (non-objects) in life he discovered. Otherwise, the movie would have been titled "Insignificant Big Things." 10/10.

The film tells the story of a singer who wants to succeed and help his relatives and community.

Warning: Spoilers
Juan Gabriel is a Mexican who went to the United States and has to adapt to his new life in a new place where he will have to find the means to succeed by singing in order to pay for his college tuition. At first, he is excited to date this girl who is supposed to be a white person, but soon, he realizes that she was not taking him seriously, so he decides to dump her. After that, he meets another girl who he finds very attractive and the relationship does work out.

This film also explores life as an immigrant in the United States and the Latino community in Los Angeles. The story is good and the film contains music sang by the lead actor, Juan Gabriel.

This film portrays the culture clash and problems among members of a family along the U.S.-Mexico border.

This film depicts the life of a family that consists of the parents who were born in Mexico and their two sons and daughter who were born in the United States. The film basically evolves around the culture-clash between parents and sons/daughters. The father, in a way, is sorry to have left his hometown,Mexico, while his daughter wants to deny all her heritage/background saying that she will marry this white man and she sometimes refuses to speak Spanish since she feels embarrassed about it. (spoiler ahead) The daughter wants to run away from home, but eventually returns because her boyfriend was just taking advantage of her saying that she was just "his bitch". I really enjoyed the story and the film, not only because of the theme/subject that was involved, but because it was also filmed where I am originally from,-

Texas.

In my opinion, the story was well told and explores the feelings and conflicts of the family members.
