In Harm's Way (1965)

Great film, wonderful cast. Flop at box office

I watched the sea scenes being filmed off of diamond head. My brother-in-law was an extra. They used active duty marines. But was made as Vietnam heated up and war was not popular. Hence it was a box office flop. Worse they made it in Black & white which dated it. Watching it 50 years later brings back good memories. And this movie is a good snap shot of the period.

A typical 1941 movie. Plenty of uniforms showing what is coming. Some good talent that you never heard of. More enjoyable than a Rooney/Garland let's put on a show movie. Just showed on UK Talking Pictures channel.

As a kid, I loved this show but already knew most of the history. But was fun to see how they solved history. Jeffery was Boggs guide book.
