Perfect Sense (2011)
Poetic and scary...
Didn't know what to say or think right after I finished watching this movie. It certainly is a great movie but it is kind of hard to explain how I feel about it. A little slow in the very beginning, the movie soon starts involving us in the story. I watched it with my wife and she would drive me crazy while she was trying to predict what sense they would lose next or what emotion they would experience before every event. I just loved the fact they felt some kind of bliss before losing their sight. It kinda reminded me of a very sick person who feels miraculously better before dying. Nothing else seems to matter in that moment. Susan's voice narrating the final scene was just so beautiful it pulled some tears from my eyes. All I can say is that this movie sure got me thinking about the simple things of life I normally take for granted and I thanked God a lot for having all my perfect senses.
Hachi: A Dog's Tale (2009)
A wonderful tale about friendship
How bitter can people be? After reading some negative reviews here, I just felt I had to say something. People who gave this movie low rates because they found it "boring" and found technical flaws in it must be kidding! This is one of the best movies I've ever seen (even now, two years later)and it's not a movie for dog lovers only, it's a movie about friendship and it does have an important message to deliver to people of all ages. It has certainly become a classic and it's one of Richard Gere's best performances ever! It sure is a movie I will be showing my kids when they grow up to help me illustrate concepts like "friendship", "dedication" and "loyalty".
