Dark: Ein unendlicher Kreis (2019)
Had to remind myself to breathe
Wow.... What can you even say about this episode? I felt like I was overdosing on tension, it was heart thumping stuff from start to finish. I literally found myself holding my breath and had to force myself to breathe. Best episode so far, best episode of any show I have seen in a while. This one hits you like a ton of bricks. At one point I even muttered out loud, "this is too much..." that is how intensely I was feeling this episode.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
It was good, but...
Okay, firstly, this was a stunning movie, it looked really beautiful throughout. That being said, I thought Infinity War was a far superior story than this one. I am not really complaining, because I don't think any sequel could have been better than Infinity War. I don't like time travel as a means of solving things, or at least, it really needs to be done well for me to appreciate using it (Interstellar did it well). I thought initially they could have done it well, because I mentioned that you cannot change the past, but then that is exactly what they ended up doing. Also, why was Captain America able to use Thor's hammer? In fact, why did Thor take it from Asgard in the first place? Wouldn't that leave the past Thor hammerless? I feel like they played it a bit fast and lose with consistency in terms of what the characters could and should have done and be able to do. This movie left me a little confused about Thanos' power because he was pretty powerful without the stones. Also, I really wish they would have had more heroes die. I mean they fought an army and only Nat, who sacrificed herself, and Tony, who died from his own actions, died, that just seems a copout to me and unrealistic. It would have been more emotional if a bunch of heroes had died during the battle at the end.
Naruto: Shippûden: Uchiha Madara (2013)
Legendariness is Back!!!
This is what Naruto is about!! The emotion, the intensity, this episode embodies what I love about this show! I haven't felt this way since the Pein arc!
Uchiha Madara is the living embodiment of wrath! Death is his currency! He steps onto the stage and everything else stops, no eye or ear is anywhere but where he is. There is a war going on, but all of it matters not, the only thing that matters has become stopping this one shinobi. And what a shinobi he is! He rips through others like they were nothing. All one can do is watch in awe at the majesty of this demigod as he gracefully disposes of the mortals around him.
One of the best episodes I have seen since Shippuuden began! I've watched it 4 times already. It really doesn't get better than this.
