Better Call Saul: Saul Gone (2022)
Huge disappointment
This is such a lazy ending. They simply copy-pasted the Breaking Bad ending, only instead of dying, Saul is going to prison for life.
Just like the last episode of it's parent show, the hero confesses to his woman that it was all about him and he was loving it (and had no regrets).
Just like Walter White ended things in his own terms, so did Saul.
Just like Skyler, the strong woman that helps Walter, Kim also gets in the clear while the man takes the fall.
It seemed like this show was giving a fight to Breaking Bad, but now it only looks like a pale copycat.
Seinfeld (1989)
Best comedy ever
Just binged it again after a few years I haven't seen it, abd apparently it gets even better with age.
I was 18 when the finale aired, and I loved the show even then, but I was too young to appreciate most of the jokes. I have seen every episode at least 20 times, but this time was the best. This time I can see Jerry and Larry's look on life from a more realistic point of view, and it's incredible.
L'immortale (2019)
Big disappointment
As a huge Gomorra fan, I was expecting something else. The movie was so slow, I found myself playing with my phone.
Besides that, the plot was incredibly unbelievable and it felt like it was all thrown together just to have an excuse to get Ciro back into the show for the millionth time.
The Last Dance (2020)
Too American for my taste
I'll start by saying that the show was mostly good. I remember waking up at 4 am to watch the live playoff games, so it was nice and nostalgic. I wasn't a Bulls fan and wanted Utah to win it, but the show made me appreciate the Bulls more.
Having said that, it looks and feels like the show was directed by Jordan himself. Even when they try to show other sides of him, he comes out almost prefectly clean on the other side.
I especially didn't like his arrogance and mistreatment of teammates and opponents (like the way me laughed at what Gary Payton said). I understand that in order to make a documentary about Jordan, you need his approval, but I feel it crossed a line.
In addition, I think there were too many explanations about why he wanted to win (because, evidently, only winning a championship isn't enough). It was always: the coach said that, so I had to show him, or this player dared to try and win, so he deserved a lesson.
So it's a good show, but it's a one man show, and way too kitschy for me.
Tiger King (2020)
Unbelievable story
When I first saw the trailer, I couldn't imagine what was about to happen. This story is so bizarre, I don't think anyone would have been able to imagine it. Humans are the worst animals, that's for sure.
I wish there was more of this tragedy!
