Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024)
Better than I hoped for
My expectations going in were sub. But boy o boy we are getting somewhere. I am only one episode in and I can go to sleep now knowing I will be having a blast watching this.
The perfection of the original series makes every attempt at making a real movie near impossible but oh my goodness, someone really took their time to match every character with a real world match. Lots of times it feels as though I am rewatching the original, that is how good it is.
Many parts of the original that were simply glossed over in the animated version are elaborated on here with lots of background information you wished you had in the original iteration of this master piece of fantasy.
The Sandman (2022)
Quality over Quantity!
I was worried at first. The contents of the very first episode were enough to make an entire series. I thought it would be watered down in the end, but NO. There seems to be no end to the imaginations of the writers. I am beyond intrigued. I had to pause an episode to come write this review for this is what I expected to get each time I click a movie on Netflix. If you're reading this then I implore you trust your instincts on this one. You will get what you ordered. I am impressed by my stimulated imagination.
What else could you ask for from a movie titled The Sandman which has little to do with the sand man!
Downton Abbey (2010)
Left me with a new respect for the British culture and the snobbish aristocracy
Never thought I'd see the day I rate a movie 10/10, perhaps my generosity improves as I age or perhaps this movie was as good as it felt to watch.
I don't know how to make heads or tails about this masterpiece, its effects are unusual in so many ways, I could have sworn I didn't give 2 cents what any aristocracy lived like, but here I was rooting for their cause and drawing inspiration from what appears their day to day lives.
A movie about rich aristocracies teaching valuable lessons on duty, discipline, service, the value of loyalty and dedication.
The characters and the character's characters, Very few imaginations will ever rank close enough to what was not just imagined in Downton Abbey, but also pulled off successfully.
I say Thank you to everyone who had a hand in its production.
I highly recommend this for English culture learners who aren't either European or American.
No Time to Die (2021)
What was that?
The best part of the movie for me was when I was busy eating popcorn and pepsi.
Dirigenten (2018)
Deep and Intriguing
I came to save all those who will be mislead by wrong reviewers again. Watch this movie to solidify your grasp of why you can't grasp Russia.
The Flash (2014)
The more you look, the less you see
I'm not sure exactly who this movie was made for, I mean if it were made exclusively for 13 year old children, then I might be very understanding as to why it feels really weird to watch, I literally can't stand this movie, Please who wrote the scripts? No imagination! at first I thought it must be one of those indoor nerds who wrote the entire thing but then, there was that episode where apparently Cisco had to hack the city's network and they weren't being explicit as to what "network" they wanted to hack, then apparently the network was hacked in 4 seconds, like I could see the laptop the apparent hacker used showing graphic images of 3D models, that was when I knew it wasn't even a geek who wrote the Script. The languages are too cliché and I had to ask for help to un-see this thing. don't even get me started with the Intro speech. But then again, perhaps they wanted just an audience of 13 year olds.
