Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire (2023)
Rips off everything...
Clichéd. Actually managed to feel like a much inferior Battle Beyond the Stars. It was trying hard not to be Star Wars, by not showing deserts, or lots of space scenes, but instead forests and lots of rain soaked places.
I found myself expecting the "twists" as there was nothing new, and the attempts at accents were a joke, Charlie Hunnam's "Irish" and of course the bad guys on the planet, having an Afrikaans accept. Guess these are the new stereotype bad guys!
Can't really say I cared about anyone, so I didn't care who lived or who died.
To my mind ripped of the look of everything from Star Trek TNG to Fantasy movies. But then this is the man who gave us Sucker Punch!
Took me a few goes to sit through it, as it just wasn't gripping. A lot of wasted talent, who didn't do much.

Passionate about movies
YouTube's algorithm must have given me one of these a few years back, and I've been hooked ever since. His passion for movies shows through, and will make you watch 10 things... about films you've never seen, because he makes them seem interesting. After that you then hunt down the movie, to see what you've missed.
He's not dry and factual like most movie reviewers, who can seem jaded, but he genuinely seems to have enjoyed the movies he's reviewing, and passes that on to fans of his show.
His background, and the items he features, during the videos, make me extremely jealous, as he has collectables for everything, and I won't talk about his garage!
Keep up the good work Mark. :)

It's meant to be a spoof!
Okay if you want "serious" then go watch Bones/CSI/NCIS/etc, however as a couple of the reviewers haven't really sussed out, then I will point out that this is a complete mickey take of those shows!
The clichéd lines, the impossible way that crimes are solved using "Real" science, and the fact that the scientific people are drop dead gorgeous, but "no-one sees it" are all are up for attack in this series.
The actors seem to enjoy themselves, and ham up their parts more than Porky Pig, which adds to the fun.
It's not an inditement into Modern Criminology, nor is it meant to be an in-depth study of characters and their actions, but it is a great spoof on the shows which try to pretend they are, and as a bonus you should really listen to what S.A.M. says.
