Sealed its place as the best live action film of the year Period.
29 August 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Wes Anderson works wonders and magic again with Moonrise Kingdom, a spectacle that if celebrated enough, will have a place in movie history as well as in our hearts. Other films a are scheduled for release this year but now I know that none of them will top this as the best live action film of the year. A wonderful and nostalgic homage to French New Wave cinema and spoof of French coming of age drama and romance films of the 1960s and 70s like The 400 Blows and Pierrot le fou, The reason behind why this movie works is not just because it leaves a warm feeling in your heart and soul, but because you leave the movie longing for your childhood. Its like a drug.

The Best Film Of 2012.
13 April 2012
Warning: Spoilers
The Secret World Of Arrietty has automatically become the best film of the year. A movie that makes you feel good after the first viewing. Though Sho's English dub David Henrie may have been miscast and the ending may be too emotional (I felt like crying in the cinema), all is completely forgiven. The music, the artwork, the animation, the voices, and the plot are all fantastic for such a small scale Ghibli film. And for Cecile Corbel's original score, I see a future ahead of her, maybe even an Oscar for her music. If you plan on going to the cinema, take your kids to see this (and please not that Chipmunks/Lorax trash). I like to call these family films "smart kid flicks" (Where The Wild Things Are, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Spy Kids, Hugo, War Horse). You will not be disappointed.
