Such a shame, this was a fun show
3 February 2022
I really hope someone will pick this up. It was a fun, quirky and good show. I get that a lot of the anime lovers hated it. Well, I like anime and I loved this show.

I wondered why this show had such a bad rating and then I figured it out in the first minute. The people on the left are called snowflakes but it's the people on the right that seems unable to take anything without complaining, crying and rating a show low because it deals with rounding up immigrants as something unacceptable. Sounds like a snowflake if you ask me. As the other reviewer said they were going to go read a book instead of watching this Hollywood show, good riddance. Probably better you turned off the TV a little more often.

Retooled to death
11 June 2007
I love this show. I watched every episode last year. I bought the DVDs. And I tune into to watch tonight and I see for some reason you have retooled this great show. And you have taken what made it work and ruined it. You took one of the best aspects of the show away which was the 4 friends. Sam, Sully, Lizzy and Piper. I love the other characters as well, but they are good in small dozes like Derek, Darcy and even Sully. It is like the show lost some of its family and everyone else is trying to hard to fill in. It is overdose. While things are funny in small dozes when you are exposed to it all the time it goes from funny to annoying. I was so looking forward to the return of this show. So please bring back the charm. Even if you could not fit Piper into the show at least bring Lizzy back. But I loved those girls. They brought the fun. The show was about Sam trying to live his business life and handle his personal life and friends as well. That was the charm. And that great dog as well.

I hope the network (FOX) forced the writers to do this and the writers did not willingly do this to the show. I will give the show a couple more episodes before I give up, but tonight's episodes were bad. I made a big deal out of the show returning tonight and had people over and I felt like a fool, because no one was laughing except 2-3 times. I apologized to them and said I don't know what happened. And about 10 minutes into the episode I realized they were not going to show Piper or Lizzy and this was no longer a must see TV comedy.

Batman's Back
20 June 2005
Batman is back and he does not suck. These are good things. This movie does the first two movies justice. While in parts it might reflect a non-super hero movie, it is something the series needed. This movie never lets you forget that Batman is indeed just a man trying his best to make Gotham a better place.

I thought that Nolan did an excellent job of directing. It was good to see a gritty and subdued Gotham and not something all lit up in neon and weirdoes. Just a dark city, filled with corrupt people, good old bad guys, mobsters and some good people, covered in wetness and darkness, which is more real life. Bale does a great job of playing playboy Bruce Wayne when he needs to, and switches to his more hard core persona of Batman. They felt like two different men. Well done.

Wonderful little film!!
28 February 2005
Makoto Shinkai could direct traffic and I would watch. This was an amazing anime. You could feel the distance and loneliness of the two main characters. Shinkai wrote, directed and made this all on one computer and you can feel the very personal feel that it gave this animation.

I heard a lot of good things about this anime movie long before I watched it and did not think too much about actually picking it up. But I have to tell the truth when I saw it on sale that pushed me over the line to get it and I am very glad I did. It is was wonderful addition to my collection.

Even the bonus that comes on the DVD version about a cat is great, it is only 5 minutes long but he makes it great. I look forward to his works, I am sure it will be tugging at the heart-strings as he weaves his tale into our hearts.
