Loki: Glorious Purpose (2023)
congrats to all the team
To all the team of talented people involved in creating and executing the narrative that lead to the unfold events of this episodes, congrats.
You could possibly had done the best / one of the best screen experiences until this date with this episode.
Kudos for the great found balance between science and fiction, respecting some key premises as the impossibility of controlling an infinite expanding scenario but still making a beauty portrait of the weightless sensation that is to give up control and let be whatever has to be.
Eager to see what will be done with the amazing possibilities of an infinite war that those events will probably ignite.
Wednesday (2022)
it's just so good
That any other thing said would be pure pompous redundancy.
From now on in this review I will just write any random jibberish, since the minimum required number is characters for the review is 600.
Less is more. If you need to prolong your opinion for so long, it sounds like you are not certain about your logic.
Precision is the key. Concise arguments are sharp, short. Hit you instantly.
But rules only exist to be broken. If this imdb policy shall not be quickly reviewed, the tool will became increasingly irrelevant. Amazon's fingers are too deep rooted steering its directions away from neutrality.
Reminiscence (2021)
happens not to be very well though out
Plot is more focused on displaying a dystopian climate change future than the story it wants to tell. Aims on being the next Nolan, lands closer to Tommy Wiseau, but without his charisma.
Pig (2021)
rough poetry
You wont ask yourself what is going on, why are those events even happening, what motivated them: you will just feel those moments and enjoy them.
You also won't caught yourself analyzing the cast, the writing, the decisions of the director... you'll be too immersed to bother about anything.
Nic is one hundred percent within character to the point that you won't notice he is even acting.
An chef's omelette, simplicity made with drive, care and attention giving you a whole new experience on something you are used to take for granted.
Katla (2021)
makes the otherworldly feels possible
The portrait of daily life in a small Icelandic community affected by a volcanic eruption looks mesmerizing to the foreign (non-Icelandic) viewer. It's like life on another planet.
The scenery, the harsh environment, the feeling of imminent danger, they all contribute to an immersive experience into a totally different reality.
The result is a balanced mix of real life events that look otherworldly with otherworldly events that look real and almost possible in that quasi alternate reality.
Served with solid writing, performances and astonishing landscapes well captured in a beautiful cinematography.
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
People walked out of the theater.
In the line for my session, I noticed people leaving the theater with faces full of disappointment from previous sessions.
At the exhibition I was in, only the franchise fan base was able to withstand until the end.
Ocasional viewers left the theater, like if they couldn't see any logic on what was being shown at the screen.
In fact, there wasn't any logic there indeed.
Painful to to watch. If there were any ways to claim refund for my ticket, I would have done so.
