We're trying to like it

You shouldn't expect it to be like the original. Mark Harmon isn't even involved in this one.

The stories are improving as they go. If it survives the first season it will be a miracle. We've watched all of the NCIS shows and this is by far the worst.

The lead, Olivia Swann, is AWFUL. She is wooden and what is meant to sound authoritative ends up sounding petulant and rude. She seems incapable of actual emotions. She definitely can't carry this show. Most of the cast are growing on me a bit after several episodes. Still not sure if we'll stick with it but PLEASE get that chick an acting coach.

Joe Pickett (2021–2023)

Opinions vary but we love it

Honestly when I come across a series that doesn't feature any actors that I'm familiar with I pretty much assume it's not going to be great. I was hooked from the very first episode of season 1. I think that the actors do a magnificent job. It's true there are times where Joe seems a little ineffectual the way that they have written him but seeing a man who loves his family doesn't have a hard time apologizing or admit when he's made mistakes it's kind of refreshing on tv. I really hope that they renew it for season 3 because we are very much invested in the characters and I hope the next season will feature a little bit of how Joe and Mary Beth ended up together.

It's fine. Not really my thing but my husband likes it. I just don't understand why some if not all of the Robinson family have to face and narrowly escape death in every dang episode.

That music is a horror

I'm pretty sure the music is what drove him crazy. It certainly made me want to scream.
