Adam Sandler: 100% Fresh (2018 TV Special)

I never gives 10s let alone IMDB reviews
13 July 2019
I'm not even that much of a Sandler fan or of musicals, or singing comedies of any type, but there is no reason why I could give this less than a 10. It was so original, so authentic, so Sandler. So hilarious, silly and heart wrenchingly beautiful, it deserves it. A real piece of art. Nice work buddy.

Fantastic All Around!
18 January 2019
I am so surprised by this show! I'm a 38 year old dude who wouldn't even really consider watching a show like this. I just randomly clicked it because I was bored before going to bed. I typically watch documentaries and shows in the style of The Wire or Game of Thrones. Everything about this show is great! The vibrant acting, the story narrative, the gorgeous cinematography, the absolutely stunning location (Penarth, South Wales), the great characters, the relationships between characters, and Gillian Anderson! I'm also not a fan of sex being portrayed in films and tv because it's usually cringe-worthy, but this is fun and educational. It's like a coming of age film that's really fun but deals with important and complex subjects. I don't typically get hooked on shows but you got me Netflix! Cheers! Well done.

Great reboot with room to grow!
9 August 2018
I'm not very familiar with the original series but this version has plenty to keep you entertained. I love sci-fi and I wasn't disappointed with the ships, vehicles, tech, science, or especially the robot! The robot was an excellent character even without very many lines. You start to really bond with the family a couple episodes in. I felt like they all had very good chemistry. Lots of twists and turns and not sure what's going to happen next without being corny. Of course there's room to grow with more science and the writing but if you want to get into a Netflix sci-fi show that's fun I recommend this one!

Out of place episode. Bad Writing?
7 December 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I'm glad I came on here and realized I wasn't the only one! I love this show, but unfortunately the writing for this episode was very out of place for the series. I know they had to have some sort of story as to why Eleven could harness her powers even more for the last episode; But having her go all the way to Chicago to learn this, where it isn't even "Strangers Things/Hawkins" anymore, with seemingly so out of place characters, and low-grade acting, was ultimately a poor choice. I know they were trying to recreate a vibe reminiscent of the 1979 movie Warriors, but it didn't work. The storyline felt forced and like a waste of time. This was especially painful to watch, as the previous episode left us literally at a cliffhanger, with the demodogs rising from the gate to confront Hopper. I think it would of been better if "Eight" came back to the lab seeking revenge, finds Eleven, and realizes there are bigger problems like the Shadow Monster and demodogs in Hawkins, instead of the lab employees who abused her as a child.
