Frasier (2023– )
10/10
Don't listen to the snobs
15 October 2023
If you liked the original you'll like this. In fact, I went back to the original after and thought to myself I'd rather be watching the new series. Not that the original was worst but that the new one is more modernized. Kelsey Grammer is still the same witty Frasier, a character he was born to play. The situation is like the original show, except now his son plays the role similar to what his father played. I like the role his friend the professor plays as well. After the first two episodes I can confidently say this show has a lot of potential and a lot of heart to it. Give it a shot and don't compare it so much to the original.

Fun but predictable
28 December 2022
I enjoyed this movie and there's nothing really wrong with it. It just isn't all that great. By the end of the movie I had a feeling who the killer was, which ended up being true. I was waiting for another twist but nope, that was it. I understand he's supposed to be the worlds greatest detective, but it just seemed too easy for him to put together.

Besides that, some of the characters are forgettable. If you compare this to a movie like Clue, where every character was interesting and brought something to the table, this falls short. Craig and Norton are excellent. I don't know why people are riding Craig for his accent. I thought it was good.

I didn't understand the whole mask pandemic thing. It's only in the beginning of the movie. I just kept thinking that it was stupid and probably won't age well. Didn't affect the plot at all so why put that in there?

Overall it's a fun movie and worth watching but don't expect too much out of it. Had a cool vibe though and enough interesting twists to keep me entertained. Not every movie has to be a masterpiece.

The worst predator movie to date
16 August 2022
Remember when movies had memorable characters, well written dialog, and visual effects that didn't rely on CGI? Well this movie has none of that.

Half hour into this movie and I'm bored wondering when something interesting is going to happen. Kept going because I wanted to see a little predator action. All CGI. It's pathetic how lazy these directors are today. Everything is done in post and there is no soul to these movies anymore. Absolute trash.

The characters are forgettable and boring. I don't care that it's a female protagonist, she sucks and so does every other actor in this movie. None of them have any kind of charm or charisma. I could only hope the predator devastates their entire community.

I didn't even make it to the end of this movie because it was so bad I didn't care anymore. I got about 3/4 through it.

This is by far the worst predator movie I've ever seen and I'm angry at the IMDb rating. It deserves under a 5. Raise your standards people.

Waste of time
17 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This show had a lot of potential but instead the writers decided to waste the audiences time with filler for 10 episodes. By the end of the season you still basically know nothing. Not to mention the fact that a lot of the story doesn't make sense. Spoilers ahead.

First of all, I get that Jacky is annoying but you're telling me that everyone just lets her sleep outside in the cold to freeze to death? THAT'S how she dies?? Stupid.

Shanna is a selfish and terrible friend both young and old. Speaking of which, the woman they casted as the older Shanna is dreadful. She has a miserable face, isn't attractive at all, yet her husband and random hot boyfriend both can't get enough of her. That's a miscast if I've ever seen one.

The other actresses are very good though, which is why I'm giving it a 5/10. The show has potential but they just drag everyone out for so long.

Something else that doesn't make sense is when Misty disables the flight recorder in the beginning of the show. Why? Why was it never revisited? I guess she just wants them all to be stranded out there forever so she can be the hero? It's stupid, and I don't care.

You know what else is stupid? How everyone follows Laddie, even though SHE is the one that gave them all shrooms and tried to sacrifice Travis. If I was in that situation and had a troublemaker like that in the group, she'd be the first to be eaten.. just saying.

Also, how does a plane just catch fire like that? Like it takes off but catches fire out of nowhere and explodes? Not likely.

Did anyone think to write a sign for a plane to see?

Legs getting chopped off and faces ripped open by wolves. No antibiotics needed.

Travis is a weeny.

There's my review. Pretty much what I expected from a Showtime series. Sub-par TV.

A slow burn but quite terrifying
29 October 2020
I understand how some people don't like this series. It's slow at times and the music gets repetitive. There are scenes in the later episodes where you'll be dying for the dialog to finish. Having said that, the story has a lot of depth to it that echos the hell each character must face. If you can be imagine yourself in their situation and how they got there, it's actually terrifying. While it does seem to end as a love story, it's far from it most of the time. I felt uneasy right until the end because you never know when the lady in the lake will return and what damage she'll do to the innocent bystanders who venture through her destructive path. If you have the patience to sit through this one and you immerse yourself in the characters' stories, you might find it to be both a terrifying display of the afterlife and a journey inside the mind. Bly Manor isn't perfect, but it's one of the most imaginative stories I've ever heard. It's also well performed by the actors and actresses to say the least.

Haters of the Lost Ark
23 January 2020
I guess you can say I am a hater of this movie, even though I don't think it's that bad. It's just not that good either. Don't get me wrong, the music and Indiana character are both iconic. Everyone knows the theme and recognizes the hero with the hat and whip. I think that's why this movie gets so much hype. It's so iconic and nostalgic that people overlook everything else.

The story is pretty mindless. It's a race to see who can find the ark first. Indy always gets outsmarted by the other guys but manages to escape again and again. There's no real dialog that has any depth to it and as great as the soundtrack is, it is also distracting. The ending is kind of lackluster. I mean, the face melting is cool, but afterwards it just ends with no real resolution.

In my opinion, it's just an ok action/adventure movie that happens to have a really charismatic and iconic hero. I'm not even a fan and I was Indiana Jones for Halloween one year. But if you want a great adventure movie, there are others that beat this by a mile. In my opinion, the Goonies is a 10x better adventure movie. The characters have emotions and a reason to fight, the bad guys are funny but not in a cheesy way, the soundtrack is incredible but not intruding, and the ending has a true resolution that leaves you smiling. To me, that's a 10/10, which is why this is a 6/10.

Dracula (2020)
6/10
What were they thinking?!?
6 January 2020
No spoilers just an honest review. The first episode is great. The atmosphere is creepy and the story is interesting. I was pleasantly surprised and eager to watch the next episode. The 2nd episode continues where it leaves off but starts to drag a bit. Still keeps that creepy old atmosphere and made me want to watch the 3rd episode for the conclusion. This is where it all falls apart. The main actor that plays Dracula is fantastic but even he couldn't save this ridiculous ending. The entire 3rd episode makes no sense and drifts so far from the other two that it may as well be another show entirely. I get what they were trying to do, but they just didn't do it well. By the end I was hoping characters would die because of their sheer annoyance and I was left with disappointment when the credits started rolling. It's a shame because it started out so good. I recommend watching the first two episodes but you need to seriously prepare yourself for how bad the 3rd is. You've been warned.

Some people don't get it
21 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Some reviewers are saying the story doesn't make sense. It's obviously not supposed to be taken seriously, that's the comedic aspect. The premise is so ridiculous but the characters just go along with it because why not? It makes for a better story.

There are moments when it's ridiculous and funny, and then it gets deep and pulls at your emotions. Paul Rudd does such a great job with the two roles you really believe it's two different people.

This show is constantly entertaining and every episode makes you want to watch this next. This is an easy binge and I'd definitely watch it again.

High reviews are misleading
4 October 2019
I was always told this was a good movie so I decided to give it a chance despite its age and long run time. It kept my interest at first and had a pretty creepy scene that was kind of trippy. The problem is the movie is extremely predictable to everyone watching it except for the main character. She's like the typical horror movie actress the characters in Scream make fun of. Clueless and helpless. Maybe they call this a classic because it's classically bad and campy. The ending takes forever to get to and doesn't deliver. I don't know how so many people like this movie, but I guess a lot of people like Nickleback too.

Lethal Weapon (2016– )

Riggs made the show
10 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Clayne was the best part of the show. Great actor with depth and versatility. The chemistry between him and Waynes was great. The producers should have did a better job keeping the peace between them. Instead, they dropped the ball and made an irreversible decision. Why couldn't he just move to Texas instead of dying? Too good for this show anyway. Hopefully he moves on to bigger and better things. Nothing against Scott, but how can you have a Lethal Weapon show without Martin Riggs? At least there were two good seasons. Oh well.

Classic gem!
11 February 2013
I was always a fan of the first House movie and recently found out about the sequel's existence. I checked it out and within the first 10 minutes I knew I was in for a hell of a ride. This movie is so crazy and unpredictable. I found myself loving the characters and laughing at small little things here and there. Those are the kind of movies I like. When you can find little hidden lines and actions that make you laugh.

I think the movie is done really well. At first I thought it was going to be a B Grade mess, but much like the first film they did a great job with the puppets, make up, and stop-motion scenes. There's just an added charm that comes with special effects that don't use computers. In fact, if there's one thing this movie has an abundance of it's charm. The actors looked like they were having fun and were perfect for their roles.

This definitely barely qualifies as a horror movie. It's more like a comedy or family flick. Or a comedic Indiana Jones in a haunted mansion setting. I would watch this with my little cousins who are around 7 years old, but I think anyone can enjoy this film. I'm 29 and I loved it lol. Definitely worth the watch!
