Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022)
Terrible in every way
This was one of the most terrible movies I have seen in a while. Everyone trying to talk this into something good is wrong. Awful characters, not relatable at all to everyone over 25 and not from the USA. All the movie does is to make clear, how totally disconnected Gen Z Americans are from the rest of the world and their feelings. They act totally irrational in a stupid way, the storyline is predictable and boring, I hate everything about this movie and I pity anyone who thinks this is a good movie or a satire. It is none of these. I would have wished Maria bakakova to be in a better movie. The rest of the cast is horrible. Awful, awful, awful.
Koko-di koko-da (2019)
Hated this
This movie tries hard to be artsy, it is super depressing, not a horror movie, it's a heavy psychological drama which some people may like, but I found it the worst movie I have seen in a long time. Depressing, not entertaining, absolute crapp. Don't watch this if you like a movie at least to be entertain ing. This is what is wrong with so many modern films and why the Oscar's have become a bad joke.
The Curse of Audrey Earnshaw (2020)
Very very depressing but good
When I see that this movie gets jot even a little bit, I know that far too many jerks rate movies. This is spooky, scary, very eerie, good actors, good story, very well done. And no, it does not lack a good background as someone said who obviously doesn't know a lot about horror.
Ant-Man (2015)
SPOILERS INCLUDED - Subatomic Beauty
Antman it is. Well then. When you think about it, a choice as smart as long overdue when it comes to Superheroes. The forgotten one, right? The one that literally somehow kept under the radar for so long. His time has finally come and he arrives on the big screen in full glorious swing. Let's have a quick go: the first Cross killing is spectacular in its simplicity. I honestly have never seen anything like that before. And believe you me, I've seen everything to compare it with. OK then, some quick story building, handled swift enough to not walk right into the trap of insignificance. Then ... Old Man has Safe. Followed by Mission Impossible Styles actually done better, swift and crispy. To henceforth bare witness to the initiation is a fun-ride, intoxicating and entertaining, Super Hero Shtick like it should be done, fluid and fast with the kind of light footed timing that will joyfully nail you to your seat with a grin on your face. Pure bliss. Throwing around Drama, interrupted and metamorphosed through the childish carelessness of our Goop Hero, again with flawless timing. It is convincing that this hero (like many others) keeps this sense of naivety, because anyone who would go through such fundamental changes and gain such transforming and up-heaving powers, while keeping stuff under control like he obviously does, would have to remain a jester at heart in a deeply magical and philosophical sense. And have a good laugh at it.
What else have we got? How about Quantum Physics! Ant-agonizing Avenger Bashing! And whose pajamas are those? Subatomic Beauty and...well alright, some heart-wrenching blockbuster blubber to patch it up, but I shrug that off. What remains is a contender for one of the top spots within the Subgenre, All American Fuss aside, Ant-Man reaches heights it may not aspired for, but has managed to do so nonetheless.
Fury (2014)
The Epitome of Stupidity
this is by far the most ridiculous war flick I have ever seen. I don't know where to start here, really. the American way of war as a cliché, glorification of war crimes, stupid masculinity in all its shameful glory, pathetic characters, a bunch of assholes with weapons. the justification of rape, pitt playing house with the two German women, born again christians and bernthal as coon-ass, everything about this movie makes me wanna puke maggots. even the Nazis as stereotypical bogeyman can't make anyone actually feel any empathy for those idiots which are presented as heroes in this crap. the dumbest-movie-of-the-year- award goes to ... fury. even the score sucks. brad pitt once again leaves no doubt that his few good roles were obviously exceptions and the shitty ones seem to match him way better. fury is unrealistic, unreflective, ignorant, cliché-ladden, laughable and you need it in your life like a hole in the head. the IMDb rating for this crap is a joke. worst pile of dump I watched in a long time.
House of the Witchdoctor (2013)
Evil little bugger with teeth
Most Horror movies nowadays suffer from a complete lack of originality. House of the Witchdoctor doesn't. It's an entertaining, evil little bugger with teeth. And guts. And, of course, it has Bill Moseley.
The storyline is a nice twist on the usual "Five friends spend the wekend and get butchered" theme. There's also some really bad acting, especially the two evil guys display some extremely funny buffoonery, but this, too, is fun to watch. At least if you don't have a problem with trash, cause this is basically a Trash movie with a better budget. I think most Horror fans would enjoy the ride, you get your share of blood and gore, some laughs (a lot of laughs actually) and, um, Bill Moseley. Did I mention that before?
If you like 80s Horror as I do, you might also notice the smell of those days that reeks from this movie. Which is a good thing.
Mr. Jones (2013)
Great and truly original
Forget the bad reviews. At least, if you have a little understanding of magic. If you don't, well, there's still a chance of you liking this. But if you do, you're gonna like it most definitely.
Mr. Jones is a terrifying, tense and truly original movie which deals with the topic of magic. It is a horror movie, but it also transcends the genre. I recommend this movie to those who know. One of my favorite movies of 2013.It's scary, witty, the acting is good, the story is great, the atmosphere sucks you in. A blast, for real.
Besides, the displayed art by Pumpkinrot is downright scary and utterly beautiful. Really haunting.
