Postcards from Buster: Sugartime!: Hinesburg, Vermont (2005)
Why Gay People?
Well, this is one of those cases that made me chose to watch online. I do not tolerate lesbianism, although I like the idea that they are always sweet, and it is okay to be good friends with them. But not if they are children that are friends with them! I don't understand the idea of meeting kids with gay mothers, especially on a family show, that is if you call it a queer family show. If this was a movie, Siskel, if alive, and Ebert would give this two thumbs down. I personally love "Arthur" and its franchise as I grew up with him, but until I recently learned of the gay episodes, I said, "God help them." I continue to say that.
Stand by Me (1986)
The Drama of the 80's Most-Praised Masterpiece
This film is worth your interest. I don't care if you are 14 or 13, watch it. This film is about a couple of teens, Gordie(Wil Wheaton), Chris(River Phoenix), Teddy(Corey Feldman), Vern(Jerry O'Connell) who embark on a journey of 30 miles by traveling on foot to look for another teen, whom most recently was deceased. But a challenger, played by Kiefer Sutherland, is also looking, most likely to kill the boys. This movie is an instant classic, with powerful emotional segments, hilarious moments(Lard Butt and the Barf-y Revenge at a Pie Cook-out!), and intense suspense, and to me, I laughed. And, I cried. I apologize for not reviewing this earlier, but unfortunately, I was not born then. But I can say this, I -PRAISE- the actors' performances, and I love that Richard Dreyfuss narrating the story, credited as Gordie as an adult. Amazing acting, which all tears were real, excellent choice of a cast, along with the story. GOD BLESS THIS STORY...
Updates: Wil Wheaton: He is currently playing as himself in the critically-acclaimed television series, "The Big Bang Theory", as Sheldon Cooper's former-enemy, now-friend character.
River Phoenix: An unfortunate turn of events for River. An accidental drug overdose occurred in 1993 that ended his life. He was 23 years old. The entire cast of this film attended his funeral, including the director. Rest in Peace, River. 1970-1993
Corey Feldman: He is with his wife at home, still depressed over Corey Haim's death from 2010. He has now most recently been spotted at the 25th anniversary of this film along with the cast.
Jerry O'Connell: He has lost a lot of weight and now looks very different then he did in the movies. He is in any film that is by Castle Rock Pictures, the film's main city, such as a poorly-reviewed "Kangaroo Jack".
Kiefer Sutherland: I apologize for this inconvenience for I haven't enough information, except he, later that year of 1986, co-starred with Corey Feldman, once again as an enemy, in the classic cult movie, "The Lost Boys", also stars Corey Haim.
The Young Don't Cry (1957)
Reviews, films, drama
I believe from what I viewed, I'd say this is a fantastic film for a family, although there are very violent moments in it, but it is a good movie for you to watch. This film, "The Young Don't Cry", is about a troubled teenager who befriends a colored elder, and a middle-aged prisoners. This boy voluntarily works for the orphanage, as well. The hero of the movie is Les Henderson, played by an 18-year-old Sal Mineo, who is emotionally confused, Like in "Rebel without a Cause"(also starring Mineo), but this time with a cure for his illness. These prisoners, played by James Cromwell and an elderly J. Carrol Naish, are named Rudy(Cromwell) and Plug(Naish) are planning an escape from a jail run by an abusive, yet appropriate warden and sheriff. The boy sticks up for the prisoners, whom failed to escape and instead, were killed in action on the job, by none other than the warden, Les, was protecting Rudy, but failed, due to an earlier explanation. The warden, outraged by what the boy boldly said, whips the young man and abuses him for no apparent reason, presumably the anger, only to learn what he had done, he loses his job as a warden and sent to another town. This movie is spoiled already, but continue to watch the film, as it builds up to the reason why did this happen. That is the most important part of the film, what I haven't explained in this blessed review of this brilliant film. Next time if it is shown at an arts film festival or comes on Turner Classic Movies(TM), see it. This is a really great movie, and I recommend any audience to see it, although, not many details perfect the film, but an instant sensation.
Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 (2004)
"Superbabies" is one of the worst films of all time because its humor is too clean.
I think I am going to get negative reviews from what I'm about to say. Despite the fact this is a critical failure, and a box office woe, this film is an O.K. movie for children. Face it, Nick Jr. sponsored it. Plus, all the babies in the film speak like they are in an educational T.V. show, and the storyline is, somewhat, fair. But what I did not like was, too much time in baby world, lack of character introductory, the four babies in-film are supposedly supporting roles, due to them being sidekicks of Kahuna. The humor is, indeed, lacked, and Bob Clark chose a poor movie to direct, although his final, because it is now one of the worst films of all time.
