Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014)
Great Action and Likable Characters, Best Transformers Movie.
The only spoilers will be very small points not any major parts.
Now don't go into the movie expecting to be amazed or anything, but you will enjoy it. Unless your very picky about the portrayal of the Dinobots, I heard someone coming out saying "worst transformers movie". But I liked it and it's a much different film than those before it.
Human Characters This was the best improvement. We went from a Spoiled Teenager who wants everything handed to him with his hot stupid girlfriend(s) and his annoying and odd parents, and then a bunch of other characters you don't need to know. But in Age of Extinction, We have a father inventor who cares for his daughter (who also looks after her father) then a Sports Car driving Teenager. It's kind about the father letting go of his daughter and there are some other cool interactions with them. There are also many many Dynamic characters which are so awesome. One of the characters changes from a character who you hate to someone you would consider one of the "good guys".
VFX - The Trailers don't do it justice. At first look, I thought the new Optimus looked kind of dumb but he wasn't too bad. And the VFX were awesome. Possibly the best in an already VFX heavy series. Other Visuals and Sound - Awesome Soundtrack and of course to Sound Effects of Transforming and such was great. The Cinematography was fairly good, I like Micheal Bay's Visual Style.
Conclusion - You may not like Micheal Bay, and I sort of agree he's not the best, but he's getting better with this and Pain and Gain. Now my final thought is that this is not the kind of movie to watch on a small screen or on DVD. The absolute minimum this should be watched on is Blu-Ray with Surround Sound. This may sound like a sales pitch but, you can't fully enjoy this movie till you see a Dinosaur eating robots on a 20 foot tall screen with the soundtrack blaring.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Beginning of the End (2014)
What the the Whole Series Should have been
This episode takes what was best about the Avengers and places it into a lower budget hour. I was hoping for an episode like this, unfortunately to get to it, it required quite a few average episodes that have very little action, excitement, laughs or any real importance to the marvel universe. With a surprise cameo. Some awesome twists at the end, it is possible one of my favorite season finales ever. My only real complaint is that the show took so long to get to this point. I mean, the shows fairly average and for a show with the name marvel that many would expect a show with this much hype to be awesome. But it was just average. So I hope as they go on into the next season they continue the cross overs from the movies and maybe, fingers-crossed, an avenger to cameo in an episode. If they do I think they can get back the fans they lost and create the show it was suppose to be.
The Hunger Games (2012)
Great Movie
First off, I have never read the books, nor do I want to because I feel it would let down the movie. As I watched the movie, I felt like I was part of it. Feeling the suspense and anger. The story was decent but wasn't the best, it was well executed. The movie was visually good. I think the sound and music were amazing and what gave the feeling of being there.
Other people complain about the shaky camera, personally it's kind of a style thing and I think it worked well to increase the story, others may disagree but that's what I think. The acting was pretty good. I watched it on Netflix. So If you have Netflix, I'd really suggest you watch it.
Continuum (2012)
Pretty Good but lacked something
The overall story is fairly good. The first season started out pretty good and ended fairly good as well, however the middle was kind of eh. It was too reminiscent of cop shows and crime solving cases, I really dislike this kind of feel because it makes it seem like the crimes are ordinary and takes the meaning out of them. The ending was good, but wasn't played out right. It was a good idea but could've done quite a bit to make it better. It's also a very odd mix of scifi and everyday life. I guess that had to do with the budget. The acting was good enough to get the story through, not Daniel Day Lewis good but enough. Might be worth your time to watch if your into crime solving shows or scifi shows. Or just have Netflix and have some time to spare. You could probably watch the first and last two episodes and understand what was going on and enjoy it much more.
