So much potential
15 October 2022
I have to say, the ending of this movie is so disappointing. It had the potential to be one of the best movies I've seen, but it didn't happen. There was so much material and so many scenes, representing different times and peculiar regions. It felt like it was leading to some big and inspiring closure, on different levels. However, it seems like it was just made to shock and repugnance, instead of inspiration and spiritual growth.

It is incomprehensible why did it end so plain after such a complex plot. My best guess is that the creator was left without ideas, or was just not matured enough in his life experience to know better.

Time to end

The last few seasons are just some phrases transcribed from popular psychology books, with no actual characters. So bad and fabric.

The movie as a whole instead its parts

Although somebody could say that this movie is poor with dialogues and life wisdom, and he wouldn't be wrong, we could see it from another point of view. What I want to say is that the movie 'verbally' is pretty poor, but the 'nonverbal' content is pretty rich. It examines one existential topic and it puts out some questions that are important for many of us in some developmental phases and stages of our life. It has a lot of 'cliche' and some other minor characteristics that are not so good, but I am sure that it will find its auditorium.

A therapeutic movie for me
9 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This was kind of a therapeutic movie for me. Last year my dog got sick in a really unexpected way, and he got bad in a really short time. Although he was old enough, it was kind of unexpected, and harsh enough to accept the fact that we must put him to sleep. At that time, I didn't have enough strength to be there at the time of his death, so I kind of missed the process of true grieving. During this movie I watched all the scenes and I survived. I cried myself out so much and that was the spot on the i. So it is therapeutic value that I see in this movie.

The movie itself is funny, and realistic at the same time. Although it is not very complex kind of movie, it shows some important social topics. It shows different types of lives and characters through some very common stories. We all have our own ways, no matter how sometimes they seem like cliches. And as it says, it is not that nobody tells us that life and family is hard, but we don't want to believe in it. Although it is sometimes hard, if we are committed enough it will pay itself out. The life of Sebastian is hard in its own way. You just can't have everything, so you must choose what is your path.

I liked this movie very much and I recommend it.

A movie that doesn't give answers, but puts up so many questions
6 March 2019
I hear one group of people talking about musical technicalities of this movie, and another talking about bulling. Well, I wouldn't put it in any boxes, but rather pay attention to incredible details. I liked certain scenes very much, because even though they might show caricature image, they also give a picture of a modern world rush for a success. I felt like I watched a movie about every good university in the world or anybody who wants to be a real professional. It is not just about violence, or sadism, it is about the sacrifice for a perfection and loosing the passion. The scene in a cafe where the main actor talks with its professor gives some interesting topics to think about. One of them is his wish to create an extraordinary artist, but where he also says how he never made one. It is about hypocriticism of the pedagogues who should help students to get better, instead of soothing them with that that they are good enough, when they can do much better. Actually, at the end he made one, but he destroyed many before him. Where is the border? What can mildness build? And what can roughness? How soft can and should we be, and how harsh, where is the border line? Does one work with some, and with some the other? With whom does which one work? Is the one who sacrificed everything and himself for a great purpose actually a genius? Does he suffer of a Stockholm syndrome? Who is his torturer, could it be himself? Did he do the good thing? Is his sadist teacher a good teacher? Why yes? Why no? What could he do different? What could he do better? There are so many questions, and so little answers. I think every one of us should search for his personal answers.
