Crimson Peak (2015)

Very good movie

Not really scary horror movie in my opinion. It is not scary for me if there is no jump scares. And I really don't like jump scares, so thank you movie makers for that.

Thank you also for beautiful cinematography in atmospheric movie with great actors, very good story and very good movie overall.

I was not very much pleased with first half (give or take) of the movie. It was decent but not really much more then decent.

But second half of the movie I like much more. It is much more exciting and even more beautiful in cinematography.

I don't understand why on IMDb it says it is only drama, horror and mystery. It is for example more of a thriller than a horror movie. Website. "yts.mx" is much better at that. It says it is action, drama, fantasy, horror, mystery, romance, thriller. In my opinion it is mostly drama (in a first half of the movie) horror (because of horror like atmosphere and some usual horror like scenes) and thriller.

Drive My Car (2021)

This is one of the best, probably the best movie I ever watched in "Drama only" genre.

There are some scenes that I like so much that if there where enough scenes like that I would've rated this movie 10/10, but there is not enough of them. Overall it deserves 9/10 in my opinion.

Cinematography is stunning in some scenes, story is great. Sometimes it felt too much slow, but obviously that didn't happen often because I rated this 9/10.

Truly amazing movie.

Last sequence of this Spiderman movie is the most impressive.

Lead actress is great, I like her a lot in this movie.

It has some interesting action sequences.

Sometimes during the movie you can see lead actress in situations before the disaster, I like that.

Decent movie. I enjoyed watching it.

Pleasantly surprised.

I was expecting an okay movie. When it started I was thinking it is decent, then I was thinking it is gorgeous, then I was thinking it is suspenseful, then emotional, then... I was very pleased.

Cinematography is so beautiful in some scenes. I like lead actress a lot in this movie. Great story, great movie.

Uncharted (2022)

Entertaining action flick.

I don't mind that action starts from the very beginning but I do mind that it basically ends with action. It suddenly ends, with very little to no drama after last action sequence. That was a little bit annoying.

Overall, I must say not a bad movie but far from great.

Video game "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is far better. I compare the movie only with cinematic scenes in video game which are all done much better and writing is much better in video game.

In the beginning of the movie there is a scene with Nate and Sam when they where very young and it was well done and very emotional. I wish more scenes where done more seriously like that or like in video game which does not make it less humorous, it just makes it better.

You can sense that movie makers weren't very inspired when making this movie but they did decent job and I really did enjoy the movie.

Spoiler free review... The first story is about maniac trying to kill group of girls. The second story is same just ends differently. Second story is unnecessary. They should have stick to the first story and just end it differently. I would not complain even if they end it as they are but my complaint is about second story that is not only unnecessary it is so much worse overall then the first story.

Definitely worth watching for the first story.

Special movie with heart. Simple story with some interesting twists. Very well made, beautiful story about two souls meeting each other and forming instant bond that defies description.

The Matrix Resurrections (I) (2021)

It is all about Neo and Trinity.

Resurrections is more of a love story than anything else and it fails in that. Scenes from trilogy are much more emotional than from Resurrections. For example in Revolutions when Neo talks with dying Trinity that scene is much more emotional then any scene in Resurrections.

But it is not a bad movie, it is entertaining, I was not bored. Some action scenes are pretty good. Best action scenes from Resurrections I like more than any of Reloaded and Revolutions. But some action scenes are much worse then in Revolutions and Reloaded. I did not mention Matrix from 1999 because it is far better in action and everything else then Resurrections.

Actually, when I think a little bit more, best action scenes from this movie are not on par with that of trilogy. The only thing that stands out in a good way in Resurrections is it's visual style.

Nothing about this movie feels out of place. Everything seems to be done perfectly, There is no boring scenes, but there is no enough substance and that is why I rate it 7/10. It is very interesting movie but I feel like it could have been much more. It is far from bad movie I can not believe that as I am writing this it has only 5.9 on IMDb.

Very entertaining. It was far from boring. I will compare it to my favorite Tobey Maguire Spiderman movie (Spider-Man 2) In Spiderman 2 characters have more depth and meaning but Far from home has more comedy and it is more of "feel good" kinda movie. I wish these two movies can somehow merge into one.

Do not listen to 1/10 ratings. This movie is at its worst 6/10. I think it deserves 8/10.

Oh my God, I can not imagine how this movie could be any better. Everything is perfect. It is slow paced movie, but slow does not mean bad or crap like many people think. Story is great. It is unpredictable movie, action scenes are also slow and I like that very much, it is such unique way of filming action scenes, I never seen anything like this before.

Ignore brainless 1/10 ratings, as I said this deserves at least 8/10 and only reason to not like this movie is if this is not your cup of tea :)

An Elephant Sitting Still (2018)

This is dark, slow, atmospheric drama. There is only one scene that I do not like because of slow pace and that is (no spoilers) when movie is showing rooms from right to left and between rooms there is of course walls and I do not want to look at walls for many seconds but I did, because it is slow paced movie. With all other scenes slowness of the movie is good thing and it is one of those things that makes it great movie. Acting is perfect, I can not imagine better acting. Movie is cruel, there is no much gore and violence. It is story of characters that is cruel and after some time in the movie you do not expect any kind of kindness in the movie and when it actually happens I was pleasently surprised. It is slow, dark, drama, if you do not like these three words do not watch the movie. It is utterly fantastic movie. It is one of those movies that I will not forget, and there is no doubt that I will watch it at least one more time.

If you cut last 10 minutes of the movie and replace it with something else... then I would rate this movie 9/10. But because last 10 minutes are so perfect I rate this (10/10) Music, scenes, acting... everything. This is one of the best 10 minutes of the cinema I have ever seen (including every movie genre), romantic movies are not even my favorite genre.

And oh, I almost forgot, this is review of directors cut version and it is definitely better than theatrical version.

Actors are always heart of every movie, they give it emotion, and something special... or at least they should. It looks like creators of this movie wanted the movie to be emotional and heart warming but it was far from it. It is soulless piece of crap. I liked it very much watching it for the first time, they made it entertaining for me and I was not bored, but on the other hand it was so empty and forgetable. Characters are somewhat entertaining but they look very much archetypal and not like real human beings, some characters are not human, but you know what I mean...

It has certian style that is somewhat entertaining, but it has no charm like some other movies... No charm at all. So, get your popcorn and enjoy brainless fighting sequences and archetypal characters, kinda fun dialogue and cool CGI planets.

This is one of the best films I have ever seen and I can not name one movie that is better than this one. You can not simply make a better movie.

Before I watched the film I did not watch trailer nor read much about movie and I i recommend the same to you. The fresher the better.

The only question on wether or not you will love the movie or not is - "Is this your cup of tea?"

Story is not impressive. I like cinematography very much and atmosphere in the movie. So, overall it is very good movie, definitely better than average Hollywood movie.

If you love this movie you will probably love "Our Little Sister (2015)". If you ask me I would say that "Our Little Sister" is better.

This is my first review and I hope it helps. I wrote it just because there was none :)
