A lazy spin(rip)off
10 January 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Again, if you didn't see the warning above, this review contains HUGE SPOILERS!

So, I actually had quite high expectations when going to see this movie. I'm a huge fan of PA 1-3. The fourth entry was a disaster though..

PA: The Marked Ones wasn't as bad ass the fourth one, but still not worth watching at all. They killed the "PA-style" completely. I get that they tried to do something different this time around, but change isn't always a good thing.

First off, this is NOT a horror movie, because it's not scary or disturbing in any way. They present the paranormal elements in a completely awful way. A demon talking through a Simon-Says toy?! Please.. The worst thing is the way the character react to the "creepy" and "haunted" plastic toy and the other things happening. It seems like they don't find it strange in any way! If I learned that ANYTHING was being haunted by a ghost or something like that, I would at least be surprised. I would react. But these people...yeah. It's just stupid. I jumped in my seat one time, from a high noise. Creative jump-scare :p

I love found-footage movies. But the, maybe, most important thing about these kind of movies is that it has to at least seem believable. Hey, I know it's not actual "found footage", but still, I'd like to at least be able to imagine it is. If it's not believable, it's not scary! In the first three PA movies, they held back on the supernatural manifestations. The suspense and your fear of what was about to happen was the key element. But here it's way to much! "Stuff" happens through- out the whole movie, so there isn't any suspense to build up.

In other "possession"-movies, it slowly breaks down the eventual character. But here? It makes him a super-hero! Where have I seen this before? One word: CHRONICLE. Half of the stuff in this movie is ripping off that movie.

So, what about the ending? Even PA 4 had a awesome and scary-as-hell- ending, I'd give it props for that. But the ending of this movie completely sucked. The makers tried to make it massive and "twisted", but they tried way too hard. It was just confusing.. Time-travel in a PA movie..that's..stupid..

Golden Years (1991)

Better than you might think
31 December 2013
I've always liked the movie adaptations of Stephen King's novels. Even most of the bad ones have that "charming" b-movie feel to them.

"Golden Years" is a typical Stephen King adaptation, and I think it's a good one. The story is really good and interesting, and you won't get bored.

This is more a sci-fi than the typical Stephen King horror movie/series, so don't expect bloody gore and guts.

This IS "made for TV" from the early 90s, so don't expect "Spielberg visuals" and jaw-dropping special effects. But if you're able to look past that, I think it's worth a watch. And if you're a fan of other SK- adaptations, it's absolutely for you.

Battleship (2012)

It can't get worse than this...
31 December 2013
This movie looked amazing in the trailers! Being a huge sci-fi fan, I couldn't wait to see it. Finally I would get a "good Transformers movie".

But already after 20 minutes I realized that I was tricked.. This movie really sucks. I even couldn't stand watching the whole thing, and shut it off when it was 20 minutes left.

So what's my problems with "Battleship"? First of all, there isn't really a story, just 130 minutes of mindless explosions and special effects. Another thing is the acting. It's really bad, especially Rihanna who should never have been allowed to act in a movie in the first place. But my main problem is that it's really confusing, I mean the way it's shot and directed. It almost made me sick..

Stay away from this. It makes the third Transformers movie look like a masterpiece.

Another great story from Flåklypa!
30 December 2013
"Flåklypa Grand Prix" (En. "The Pinchcliffe Grand Prix") from 1975 is my favorite Norwegian movie, and also one of my all time favorite movies. Since I was a kid, I've watched it at least once a year.

"Solan og Ludvig - Jul i Flåklypa" (En. Christmas in Pinchcliffe) can't beat the original from 75, but it's still an amazing movie! Despite the different look, and the fact that there are new voice actors, it feels natural. The characters' personalities are perfectly intact. My favorite character from the original, Ludvig (En. Lambert), is as charming as before, and he's got more screen time this time around, which made me very happy! We're also introduced to some new characters, which are all hilarious!

The humor is right on spot, and the plot is as good as it gets. You will laugh, and you will have a great 1,5 hours! This is absolutely the best Christmas movie I've seen in at least 10 years.

Not the worst movie ever!
11 December 2013
Reading the other reviews here for this movie, I see a lot of "worst movie ever!". In my opinion, that's not true.

I'm a huge fan of the "found footage" genre, so I bought this one (just about 4-5 $, and gave it a shot. After watching it last night, I've gotta say; It's not as bad as many of you're saying. There are many FAR WORSE found footage horror movies. Some of them I shut off after 5 minutes, but I didn't do that with this one.

One thing I liked was the whole plane crash concept, because I think it's kind of original. I really enjoyed the ending too. Many found footage films has a horrible ending..you know that if you've watched a couple of them.

But don't get me wrong, because it doesn't deserve more than the 4/10 rating I've given it. Still, if you're into this sub-genre, I think it's worth at least a rent, or if you find a cheap-as-hell copy out there.

Not much horror, but very original and worth a watch.
22 May 2013
I heard from some Horror-lovers that this movie was scary as hell. Was it scary? Well, No. I wouldn't call this a horror movie at all really. Of course, it has some of the elements of the genre, but still, it isn't much scary.

BUT, that doesn't mean it's a bad movie. It's not great, but still I think it's worth a watch. I won't spoil anything, but I would call it a drama/thriller, with emphasis on drama. At times it is really disturbing, and it's some really disgusting scenes in there.

Back to the horror thing; It is ONE scene in there that is f*****g scary as hell. Just watch it, and you'll know what I mean ;)

I hope I didn't spoil anything. Don't go into this movie and expect a scary supernatural horror movie as I did. Watch it with an open mind. It's not great, but decent, original and very thrilling at times.

Caprica (2009–2010)
4/10
This is not the BSG prequel I wanted...
6 April 2013
Warning: Spoilers
First off, "Battlestar Galactica" is without doubt one of my favorite TV-shows. It is a true masterpiece. I just watched the whole thing, and when I learned that there also was a prequel, I was curious. I knew from earlier experiences that spin-offs often is weaker than the real thing, but still I got excited. And yes, "Caprica" is absolutely weaker than BSG, in every way. It isn't a completely disaster, and if you are a BSG fan like me, I advise you to somehow manage to get through it, because there are scenes in there that will get you excited. The problem, however, is that there aren't many of those scenes. I went through all the episodes for one reason; to learn about the making of the cylons. And as i mentioned, here and there I got what I wanted, but why the hell did they include all the other unnesessarities? Most of this show is about the "Holobands", which is electronic glasses that allows you to go into a public virtual world. I won't spoil the plot for any of you that want to watch it, but my point is; If these holobands was so popular that they were in this show, why weren't there crawling of them in BSG? I get it, they tried to make an original plot, but I don't feel that they really showed BSG enough respect. I didn't really believe that this happened before the original series. Also, the religion-aspect got way too much attention. It played an important role in BSG, but here it just felt...unnecessary to give it that much attention.

One other problem I had with this show is that it felt targeted towards teenagers. Most of the time it felt like just another over-dramatized cheesy teenage show. That is sad, because what made BSG so fantastic, in my opinion, was that it wasn't cheesy, and that it was more targeted towards adults. In BSG the characters felt real, with realistic personalities, and you really cared about them when you got to know them. They also acted like people would do in different situations In "Caprica", there aren't many memorable characters like that. Also, the acting is on a much lower level. To be fair, I kind of liked the Adama brothers, and the actors that played them. They felt more developed than the rest, but that doesn't make up for the rest of the cast. Another thing that annoyed me was the recycling of some of the same actors that were in BSG. That should not happen in a TV show, prequel or not. It makes things confusing.

It may seem like I hate everything about the show. If it had nothing to do with BSG, I would never watch it, but at least it gives some explanations about the past. That makes it worth watching if you're a hardcore BSG fan, even if most of it may bother you. Also, Bear MacCreary's soundtrack is great as always.

I see that many people loved this show. Maybe what ruined it for me was that I constantly compared it with Battlestar Galactica. Maybe I would have enjoyed it too, if I hadn't seen the original series..i don't know. It's just a theory, but personally I will never watch it again, and will try to forget I watched it in the first place.

The rise of evil
4 December 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Most people consider the first trilogy(ep. IV-VI) to be the best of the two, and I can't blame them. As a whole, it indeed is. But if I have to pick out the best Star Wars movie, it is without doubt this one.

Episode I and II wasn't that good. They were fun, but felt a little childish, and the mood/atmosphere was a little bit too "bright". "Episode III - Revenge of the Sith" is a whole another story. The mood is dark, and the plot and the themes it deals with are much more serious. I don't want to ruin the movie for anyone, but I guess everyone who is familiar with the Star Wars franchise know what path the young Anakin Skywalker is destined to walk, and what he will become(but just to be sure, I marked this review as a Spoiler). He's not longer the little warm-hearted Anakin from "Episode I". Still, I liked it. It's always thrilling to see the rise of a bad guy, and seeing a character evolve.

The movie is thrilling from start to finish. You never want to close your eyes, and you can really feel the atmosphere. It's also an extremely emotional film. I never expected that, at least not in that magnitude, but it worked really good. At least I was touched by it.

What this movie does best, is creating a fantastic bridge between the two trilogies. After watching this one, you'll see episode IV-VI in a completely different way. You'll almost believe that it was made before the old trilogy.

Another thing is the cast-performances. All of the main-cast do an amazing job. Especially Hayden Christensen, who plays Anakin. I wasn't that convinced by his acting in the first two movies, but here he really steps up. He manages to change his character completely in both personality and behavior. The ability to do that successfully is one of the things that defines a good actor. I wasn't prepared for that. A nice surprise. Also, Evan Mcgregor is phenomenal is this movie. He was good in the other two movies, but also he has grown in performance. The interacting between Obi Wan and Anakin makes the greatest scenes in the movie.

I just have to make it clear; "Episode III" isn't all dark and serious. There are many funny moments in there also. Especially the interacting between C-3PO and R2D2 is hilariously funny, as always. They are without doubt the two greatest robots in movie-history. I smile every time C-3PO opens his mouth. It's impossible to go tired of him.

My point is; Watch and enjoy the ride :)

Authentic and professional production, but really not that entertaining
30 November 2012
Warning: Spoilers
First off; I see why many people love this movie. Ben Affleck really did his homework, and technically speaking, this is a great production. The cast does an amazing job, and it's an appealing story.

However, I was kind of disappointed after watching it. Every review I read about it, praised it, and said it was one of the greatest movies of the year. But I really expected more suspense and a better storyline. Of course, it is based on real events, but still I think Affleck could make it a little bit more thrilling. 60/70% of the movie is just about the preparations.

I don't think it was a bad movie. It's worth watching, but not as good as it's said to be.

The Rocker (2008)
7/10
Meet Fish, the fallen drummer.
22 November 2012
"The Rocker" isn't a masterpiece, but it is a fun ride. It has it's clichés, but it's alright. I can allow that, and it didn't keep me from enjoying this movie.

It tells the story about a drummer called Fish ( Rainn Wilson) who once was kicked out and betrayed by his band. The band, Vesuvius, became one of the most successful heavy metal bands, and Fish, 20 years later, has become nothing, and is still depressed. Then, suddenly he is given a second chance with a new band, called ADD.

Rainn Wilson is the perfect actor for the role of Fish. I really like him in "The Office", and in this one, he plays in many ways the same type of character. He's still hysterically funny at times, and is the main reason for the success of this movie. Emma Stone is as always great, but I had some problems with the other two band members, played by Teddy Geiger and Josh Gad. Honestly, I don't know why, but anyway, I didn't like them that much. Last, but not least, I have to mention Jason Sudeikis, who made me laugh almost every time he made me laugh. .

Putting aside the humor, the story is good. There are some drama- elements which is really good. At times it becomes a little emotional, in a positive way. Some may be touched by it.

Watch it. Especially, If you like Indie-rock, you may like it even more than me.

A heartwarming comedy about friendship
19 November 2012
Wow, I really loved this movie. It is great in so many ways.

It tells the story about Peter (Paul Rudd), who is about to get married. However he doesn't have any friends, and because he needs a best man, he starts the search for one. He finally meet Sydney (Jason Segel), his new best friend. It struck me that, in a way, this is a reversed take on the traditional "romantic comedy", putting Peter and Sydney's friendship in focus, instead of Peters oncoming wedding. It's an original twist, and it works really good.

This isn't just a great drama. It's also a fantastic comedy. There are so many situations in there that will make you smile, laugh, and want to rewind and watch it again. The best thing about this movie is Paul Rudd. I don't think I've ever seen him this funny before. Jason Segel is also amazing in his role as Sydney, which is a great character.

There aren't that much else to say. I loved it, and I think you will too.

The Watch (I) (2012)
6/10
Just okay.
19 November 2012
The Watch is not a hilarious comedy, but I still think it's worth watching. There aren't many good movies coming out these days, so this one is absolutely better than a lot of other new releases.

The movie starts off quite promising. Four guys starting a local Neighborhood watch. The four actors themselves are very funny, but sadly, they don't shine that bright in this one. Don't get me wrong. There are a lot of laughs in there, but the problem is that they don't last long. Just short jokes etc. Still there are many moments that at least will make you smile. Vince Vaughn and Jonah Hill are the funniest of the four of them, and make the movie at least feel like a funny comedy. Ben Stiller, however, isn't really that funny...but that's probably because he plays the most serious of the four "watchmen".

The movies' biggest problem, is that it never really "takes off". The comedy never goes above OK. In other words, you will not laugh your pants off watching this. I didn't have huge expectations, but it's sad that a movie with Stiller, Vaughn and Hill isn't funnier than this.

Comedy aside, the plot isn't really bad. It's an okay story, which I won't spoil. There are some twists in there.

One of the better aspects of the movie is the special effects. The aliens look amazing. Really creepy and ugly. There are also some really nice explosions in there. But that's not enough to make a great movie.

Overall, an okay movie. Okay humor, okay plot. I think it's worth a watch.

Reign of Fire (2002)

Weak movie, but amazing-looking dragons
15 November 2012
I love Dragons. Huge, fire-breathing and dangerous as hell. Sadly, there aren't many good movies about them. Especially Eragon was disappointing. For some reason I haven't seen this one before now, and when I saw Christian Bale was in it, I got exited.

First off, The dragons look AMAZING. Every action scene where they fight them are fantastic. You really get how great a threat a huge dragon would have been. These scenes alone make the movie worth watching. And sadly, there aren't much else to get out of it.

The plot is very thin. The story is simply not good enough. Actually, there aren't really a plot. And the characters are as anonymous as they could get. You can't relate to any of them, because they haven't got any personalities. They are plain and undeveloped, and you don't get to know them. I hate to say this, but one of the greatest problems I have with this movie is Christian Bale. He is my favorite actor, and most of the movies he star in are amazing. Therefore, it broke my heart to see his performance in this one. It's weird to hear him as British for a change, but it's kind of interesting. But I did not like his performance and his character. It was a huge disappointment for me, as a fan.

I'll give it a 6/10, but you can thank the dragons for that. Without them, this is a weak 4.

A mediocre drama/thriller
15 November 2012
This one was, at least in Norway, marketed as a horror film. Seeing the trailer a long time ago, at least I got the impression of that. It looked thrilling and frightening, capturing the feeling of paranoia. But this is not by far a horror film. There are no frightening moments in it at all. But it could still be a good thriller, right? Well, not great, but not directly bad either. It's as mediocre as it could get. It had a lot of opportunities to escalate, but it never really did, at least not the way I wanted it to.

A huge problem I have with Norwegian movies is the acting. There is lot of over-acting. There is some of that in this one too. Kristoffer Joner is great, as he usually is. Noomi Rapace however, I think over-acted a little bit. At times, she was kind of...too dramatic. This goes for many of the other actors too. They are not that believable. But it's not that big a deal. If a movie is good, I can look past that.

Some times the movie felt more like a drama. Many times that mix can result in something great, but they didn't really pull it off here. I felt it slowed down the movie. It became plain boring at times.

One thing that struck my mind was how this movie reminded me of the Spanish horror/thriller "The Baby's room". I'm not accusing the creators of ripping it off, but I couldn't help seeing some similarities between the two. It wouldn't surprise me if it was a little inspired by it, but of course, it's two whole different plots. It was just some similar elements between the two.

Don't let me keep you from watching it. Norwegian movies are often better received outside the country than here in Norway. That's weird, but anyway, you might like it.

Kill List (2011)
4/10
This is a odd one...
15 November 2012
Warning: Spoilers
"Kill List" isn't all bad. The cast is great, and at times it's quite thrilling. The problem, however, is that it all doesn't really fit together. The first half an hour was a little slow, but it was alright. After 30 minutes I felt it got interesting. A Thriller about two hired guns, killing people off a list. I thought it could lead to something. And it kind of did, not in a great way, but still, it escalated. But then, the last 15 minutes started...It didn't make sense. Suddenly, it was a horror film, and it didn't fit in AT ALL. The ending itself was a good scene, and would have been a great ending, just not for this movie. In other words, this is a 2-part movie, genre-wise.

This movie has been marketed as a horror movie. Okay, some horror- elements comes and goes. The witch who puts a curse on "hovedpersonen", and the "symptoms" that follows. But it's not done the right way. The huge problem, I think, are these supernatural elements. It would have been better without. If they had changed some things, and made it a pure thriller, it could have been good. In stead we got a confusing movie.

To be honest, there were a couple of scenes I loved in there. Especially the brutal interrogation of the guy they followed home from the "snuff- shelter". Call me morbid, but I liked it.

If it all ended 20 minutes earlier, I would have given it a 5/10. The ending really ruined it for me, and I can't see a reason that it won't ruin it for you too. Just let it pass by.

Come aboard the midnight meat train!
14 November 2012
Wow! This movie was a pleasant surprise. I've seen a lot of bad/mediocre thrillers and horror movies lately, so it was about time.

"Midnight Meat Train" tells the story of a unemployed photographer, who walks around the city at night, trying to "capture the city" in a photograph. Then he got a little bit too curious, and took the wrong guy's picture. The movie is a nice blend of horror and thriller, and brings something new along. Yes, the horror genre has become extremely repetitive the last years, but that's not the case here. It's an original story done in an original way.

The Cast is superb. Especially Bradley Cooper is excellent in his role. One can really relate to him. One thing in particular i noticed, is the way he looks when he's frightened. That's what good acting is! You can almost feel his adrenaline pumping inside you when he's fighting for his life. Vinnie Jones made a great bad guy. I know, it's not the first time he's played a monotone angry-looking silent character (i.e. Gone in 60 Seconds), but here it fit perfect.

This movie had a very good "drive". The wheel kept rolling throughout the movie. There wasn't a second of boredom. Some might say the ending was stupid, or weird. Personally I loved it. It wrapped everything up really nice.

I might be worshiping it here, because I just watched it. But anyway, it really deserves the 8 out of 10.

I really don't get all the hate!
10 November 2012
I admit that I too didn't exactly get that excited when I heard that this was in the making. The Sam Raimi trilogy was a fun ride, and the idea of making another Spider-Man movie with a completely new cast seemed strange and unnecessary. When the cast was announced, I got a little bit curious, but nothing more.

However, when I watched it, I got a whole other impression. I really liked it. The atmosphere was great, and perhaps a little darker than the Sam Raimi movies at times. I know many of you who read this will hate me for saying this, but I actually think this movie was a LITTLE bit better that the previous ones. Not much, but just a hint better. One thing is the cast. I really didn't like Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man that much. I didn't have a huge problem with him back then, but now when I saw this, I must say that I like Andrew Garfields "version" better. He's a little more tougher, both physically and in personality. Also, I think Emma Stone did good as Gwen Stacy. I liked her better as Peter Parker's girlfriend than Kirsten Dunst. The Villain, too, was great. I won't say more about him, not wanting to spoil anything.

When I read many of the reviews in here, I don't see much positivity about this movie. I think that's unfair. At least, it's mediocre. Giving this a 1/10 is criminally wrong. At least I think so. If you wonder if you should see this or not, at least give it a chance. Don't let the bad reviews scare you away.

Low budget, but a great result!
8 November 2012
I watched this out of pure curiosity. And I have to confess; I thought it would suck! But it's actually really good!

First off, it's very original. It's told through webcamconversations between four persons (but mainly just two of them). The whole thing is made that way, and I think it worked really good. A creative take on the "found footage" genre, absolutely. You really feel that you're watching something special right from the beginning. Sadly, I think many viewers may just turn it off because of the "cheap and low" production. Hell, I almost did it myself. This one is even more "low budget" than what we usually put that stamp on. But after 15 minutes, that doesn't matter anymore. A higher budget wouldn't even make it better, because I really feel that this is the way it should be. It makes it more realistic, like real web-conversations. There are no special effects in a real life.

A problem I have with some "found footage" movies, is the cast. If they do a bad job acting, I won't "believe" that what I'm seeing is true. And if the footage isn't believable at all, then the whole movie is wasted. However, this ain't one of those. I really liked the performances by the actors.

I'm giving it a 8 out of 10, and that it deserves. If you're into this kind of movies, and got an open mind, you should absolutely watch it. A creative peace of work.

The Tunnel (I) (2011)
6/10
Scary, but a little predictable
3 November 2012
Warning: Spoilers
A free horror movie. How good could it be? Well, "The Tunnel" isn't great. There are a lot of better "found footage" films. But still, I think it's worth the watch. If you're into this kind of horror, I think you'll agree. It managed to make me jump up in my seat a couple of times, and a lot of scenes are disturbing and thrilling as hell.

However, I got some problems with it. For starters, I didn't believe that the footage was real. An important aspect of this kind of movies is just that. It's called "found footage" for a reason. You kind of get that right from the start. The interviews are a little over the top. Starting off with interviews recorded AFTER the event takes a lot of the suspense away, and makes the whole thing kind of predictable. Another problem is the eternity it takes for the movie to start. Of course, most horror films has this "curve", but here it was done the wrong way. The first half-hour was uninteresting and totally unnecessary. When they got down into the tunnels, it got better, but still, the interviews some times interrupted the suspense.

But I'll cut it some slack. There are some major scares in there. Being a free low-budget film, It's not that bad.

Not what I thought it would be (in a bad way)
31 October 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Lately, I've been looking outside the US for good horror and thriller movies. I found this one by a coincident, and didn't really know what to expect. While watching the first hour, I thought I've found a really good J-horror film. There were no scares or anything, but it felt like it was building up to something. I really liked the direction I felt the plot was heading, and my expectations rose up.

But I was proved wrong, because the last half of the movie was a huge disappointment. Of course, twists and surprises in the plot is normally a good thing, but here it ruined the movie completely, at least for me. It became weird, and extremely confusing. I didn't really know what to make of it. It actually made me sad, because this could have been a great horror/thriller.

I wouldn't recommend it. But who knows, perhaps others may enjoy it. Maybe I just had the wrong expectations.

A really good "found footage" movie
30 October 2012
A really good "found footage" movie

I'm a fan of both the horror and "found footage" genre. I was a little skeptical towards this one, mainly because I thought the exorcism-theme was a little used up. But I was positively surprised. If you're a fan of movies like "Paranormal Activity" and "Blair Witch Project", I think you'll enjoy "The Last Exorsism". Well, It's not perfect, but still a really suspense horror movie. It really felt like a documentary. Sometimes I forgot that it was fictional, and had to remind my self that it was, at least during the first half.

There are a lot of twists in the plot, which makes it really intriguing. When you think you'd figured it all out, it surprises you. This happens a lot of times. And I just have to say that the performances of the actors are really great. They really contribute to giving the movie its realistic feel.

Anyway, if you like modern horror, I at least I think you'll find some entertainment in it. Absolutely worth watching.

An awful sequel
30 October 2012
I really enjoyed the first Cube-movie. It was original and "different". This one, however was a huge disappointment. Sure, I didn't expect that much from a low-budget sequel, but at least I thought it would answer some of the questions that the first one left me with. And since I really liked the first one, I thought I'd find some entertainment in this one. Well, it sucked.

This is a totally unnecessary movie. At its core, it's the same movie as the first, with some changes in the plot. What was great about the original was the simple plot. In this one they complicated it a lot, which made the movie very confusing at times. I get that they tried to be creative, but here they tried too hard. It Sure, it has a couple of OK moments and surprises, but is overall bad, boring and confusing. One other problem is the special effects. They don't look real at all, and could have been made in the early 80's.

Just forget it exists. Even if you liked the first one.

An OK Comedy/Drama

An OK comedy/drama

In my opinion, this one was a little disappointing. It had potential to be a hilarious Jim Carrey comedy. Don't get me wrong, because it has a lot of funny moments which makes it worth watching.

The concept is really appealing; a typical "No-person" suddenly has to say "yes" whenever he gets the opportunity. That leads to a lot of hilarious situations. But on the other hand, I think the drama-part of the plot got a little too much attention. Of course it's okay for a comedy to have some serious elements, and there are a lot of very good drama-comedies out there, but in this one I think it got a little uninteresting at times.

But nevertheless, it's a good comedy, so don't let my negativity keep you from watching it.

Not that bad
29 October 2012
I've followed this show every week since the first episode, and I think it's a little underrated. Sure, it's not one of those shows filled whit laugh after laugh throughout, but I think that's okay. There are a lot of worse shows on TV nowadays. This one is at least a little funny from time to time.

One aspect I like about "Up All Night" is the situations Chris and Reagan get caught up in. I think a lot of people can relate to what they are going through, because this show is a bit more "realistic" than many other comedies, with a lot of common everyday situations.

Will Arnett really saves this show, and makes it worth watching. Sometimes he's hilarious in the role of Chris.

I think "Up All Night" deserves a little attention. Not great, but not that bad either.

Warning: Spoilers
I'm a huge fan of the horror genre, and I really expected an alright haunted house horror movie before watching this, but that isn't the case. Every time it got kind of good, the scene ended and the next day began. It wasn't even scary. At least I don't think it was. I at least expected a couple of scares, but I think the filmmakers ruined almost every opportunity they to do so.

To me it almost felt like more of a drama than horror. The father's mental sickness, and the family's struggle to co-exist got more focus than the horror elements

However it wasn't a complete disaster. There are worse horror movies out there. For example, towards the ending it got a little more interesting.

Still, I think you should skip this one.
