Best German Comedian...
6 June 2021
Whom many people won't even know.

Starting as the only free show (unscrambled) on German pay TV (when Sky was still called Premiere), he was a niche Comedian, apart from his local radio appearances.

Here, he makes fun of everything and everyone that is wrong on TV, be it for torturing viewers with German folk music ("Lustige Volksmutanten") or other aspects, crazy outfits, silly or just plain crazy people. Pre-dominantly with clips from homeshopping TV and call-in shows but not limited to it.

Respect him for becoming friends with one of his "victims", Achim Mentzel - "die singende Spreewaldgurke", when they notice that they do have a similar sense of humour.

His humour on this show is possibly not for everyone, cynical or even mean, but to the point, and he had huge success working with other comedians, i.e. Oliver Welke, in the "Der Wixxer" films and creating the German version of "Little Britain"

Unfortunately not an 8.9
6 June 2021
Stumbled across this and saw the good IMDB rating. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the expectation at all. There were some smiles here and there, but nothing that made me laugh out loud, I'm afraid. Was really hoping for a hidden gem, even starting with a Clerks-like opening.

In the end, it was disappointing as it never made the jump from what felt like student-project quality to a proper indie film, that is across lighting, sound, all the way to the acting.

Kudos for pulling this off none-the-less. Making a feature-length film is a huge project after all.

Bullyparade (1997–2002)
10/10

The show is a "parade" of different jokes and characters all played by Michael "Bully" Herbig, Christian Tramitz and Rick Kavanian, sometimes with special appearance by guest stars.

Including masterpieces like: "Bully und die Tapete" (Bully and the wallpaper), "Pavel und Bronko" - a talkshow with 2 "czech" critics, "Die Kastagnetten" - a very fast live wordplay or "Unser (T)Raumschiff *" - a parody of Star Trek, whose success lead to a movie based on these characters. The funny thing is that all characters (Mr. Spuck, Schrotti, Cpt. Kork) are gay, resulting in stereotype jokes.

At the end of the show there are outtakes of the best bloopers.

All three comedians also created and played in "Der Schuh des Manitu" (Manitou's Shoe), which is supposed to be Germany-s funniest and most successful comedy-movie ever.
