hi, if you have not seen this movie yet go get it. buy it. see it anyhow. this is not a typical animated movie. it is a full blown movie that happens to be animated. what that means is that the characters and acting are so much detailed and scenes are interwoven perfectly than any other animated film that it will simply blow you away. Pixar used to make great films but after the death of Joe Ranft, they have lost the edge they had. Dreamworks tries too much and over do everything and Disney only makes musicals (pun). but SING is no musical. yeah, it features songs but it is not a musical. and there is an amazing amount of subtlety in the movie such as the scene when Meena brought the house down literally through her performance and the backdrop falls and we see the real MOON behind Meena as if the universe is also excited to see them perform. very charming. very uplifting movie. if need to do something and just don't think you have it in you then watch this movie, it will give you the right amount of juice to get up and get it done!
