Lucifer (2016)
Few good episodes S1 - total mess S6
I tricked myself in watching this series after a few episodes in S1. Ellis was the main reason and part of the plot.
Even then it felt cringey at times, but God where we came to!
It is just worthless, specially after the last seasons when everything is in the open - his real face, their existence in front of humans, etc.
The female lead never helped. I don't know about German's filmography, but there is no acting.
I had a lot of time on my hands so I could spare it watching the series until now. But no more! I mean you can feel yourself waisting life. It's very unpleasant. Open BBC Earth for a test or NatHD... Or try Sudoku on your phone. Really, I couldn't stress this enough.
If you didn't see it yet, just don't bother. You will save a ton of life and brain cells.
Take care!
Holy Water (2009)
Have some fun! Watch this movie!
Ok, ok, ok... It's not Godfather, nor Shawshank... And it's ok, because it shouldn't be!
Just catch a load of good irish fun. Perk: Sarah Connor does comedy!
You will not regret it!
Why so serious?!? ;)
What Is Life Worth (2020)
Can't connect, weak play
Unfortunately, even if the cast is stellar, the acting good, the events with enough potential to make for a great story... It didn't happen.
And it's not that I am an ocean and a continent away from Ground Zero.
There is no depth: you can't connect with the characters, you can't connect with their struggle... it's not cinematised enough.
I know it's not a word, I wanted it to mean: good script, engagement, score, etc all in a complete package. Throwing some opera randomly in the background can't help quite so much.
Don't even bother. If you want to understand more about The Deal just do yourself a favour and Google for 2 hours instead of watching this. It will be more instructive and more fun.
I was so disappointed that we have Keaton but not a script for him!
Kate (2021)
Good fun / good acting / no PC
It's more than a decent action flick.
Nothing new in the genre, except that I felt it!
For a while now a lot of the acting in current movies seems so weak or the lines/script so dumb.
This one here you should see it, preferably on the big screen. Mary Elizabeth Winstead reconnected me with Furiosa tonight, it was great. And Woody... he brings the game as always.
I am writing this because I read a lot of reviews stating that it's just another female lead flick to fulfill today's quota for the PC culture...
Well, my friends, it's quite the contrary. Enjoy!

TGIF (thank god it's finished) or "when Awful has second thoughts"!
Bare with me for a minute, and understand that you shouldn't loose two precious hours from your life!
Since this is my first movie review on IMDb, while browsing through the review guidelines, I just had to smile when I reached the spoiler alert rules. I kept asking myself: "What crucial plot element could I unveil, since there is no end and beginning to this mess of a movie?!?" So let's just agree there's no spoiler herein, due to the lack of dramatic art applied throughout this dreadful endeavor. But I'll check the box anyway, just in case!
Going alongside with the moving pictures, not too many minutes from the roaring lion opening of MGM, you are drowned in so many clichés that you could get a migraine. OK, clichés are quasi-copies of scenery that generally works or worked sometime in the industry, but there are some rules into forging them with a hope for some success. Examples? Son-in-army, bored-teenage-son-at-home, funny-not- American-friend-of-son (usually, the funny guy, in this case - Mexican), relative-of-friend-which-tends-to-become-girlfriend, angry-father, kind-of-dumb-wife/mother, bad-cops, stupid-cops, not- American-bad-guys, a-few-American-bad-guys, and the list just goes on until the very last minute of the film.
The writing and directing didn't really help the actors through the scenes. You can briefly observe some natural acting talent in a few moments of this movie, when everything is going smooth (technically speaking - good script lines, nice photography and no disturbing music); and then, exactly when you are going to "like" or "dislike" some character, something (or somethings) goes haywire! Music is so creepy adequate and seems so familiar for that-type-of-scene, that it's pulling you out of the movie-feeling! Most of the scenes are predictable in every detail, some script lines are annoyingly stupid or not in place or... predictable, you know whose face you'll see next second or so, people are sometimes crying but you really cannot get in the right mood to witness that since emotional build-up of the viewer is not working correctly, and so on.
Nothing to comment about the dog, though. He played his part enough so you like him. How could you not, he is such a cute dog! And smart! And brave! Unfortunately, he is paired with a strange teenage owner (main human character), which I tried to like, but couldn't... all movie long!
Visually, I've been quite impressed, since the overall quality of the movie is not enough to satisfy a normal movies watching person. Through some rapidly moving scenes, there are some perks for the eye of the beholder.
If you have read until here, than you wasted enough time with this movie. Just search for another flick, chances are you'll be better off viewing anything else. The only reason that pushed me into viewing this was the pretty high-score on IMDb and the fact that I disregarded my intuition, who was screaming: "6k votes? Go away!" And then I decided to loose some more time, just enough to let you all know: this is an awful movie, just... go away! And please return the favor! ;)
