13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016)
Very, very bad
I have 4 friends that worked (or have been worked) in Libya ALL of them used to say to me - there is no worse tribe then fickin libyians. You are in trouble just because you exisist in their ficking country. If someone pushes you in the back on the street it's your blame because you exist. In the store the ficking arab pulls you back to the line because you are a foreigner. And now they are immigrating here. I am an atheist and I obviously don't believe in god, but this ficking arabs are MIIGRATING over my home and want not to be served pork in school because it hurts their faith, and in the same time they do not allow to my friend's sister to step out off the pane in Tehran with bare head. Michael Bay is Michael Bay. A good (but almost two hours) action. I have an advice to mister Michael Bay for his next movies (of course I am not a director, I am a watcher). I don't know why it should be announced - "based on true story, or events". In a second wikipedia says to me everything about the "event". And after that I am watching the efforts of the director to make an action and drama from the events we all know. Michael Bay is Michael Bay.
Killing Them Softly (2012)
Excellent
My friend, Jefferson's an American saint because he wrote the words, "All men are created equal." Words he clearly didn't believe, since he allowed his own children to live in slavery. He was a rich wine snob who was sick of paying taxes to the Brits. So yeah, he wrote some lovely words and aroused the rabble, and they went out and died for those words, while he sat back and drank his wine and pucked his slave girl. This guy wants to tell me we're living in a community. Don't make me laugh. I'm living in America, and in America, you're on your own. America's not a country. It's just a business. Now pucking pay me. And that is all. I've browsed almost fifty reviews and no one mentioned this.Pity.
Harry Brown (2009)
Confused
Hi, unfortunately English is not my birth language, and therefore I apologize for some lack of style. I am Bulgarian, born in Bulgaria and lived all my life in Bulgaria. My country was behind "Iron curtain" and in fact we new nothing about the life abroad. I became a little boy who adored GB because of The Beatles. We thought that the life in Western world is a never ending fun, and "A hard day's night" is just a joke. Now the borders are open (at least for us as members of EU) and I am asking - is Great Britain gone so bad? Or this is a fiction? A propaganda? Or may be this is the real life in GB? "It's not Northern Ireland Harry. - No, it's not. Those people were fighting for something - for a cause, to theme out there it's just entertainment." Is GB so degraded?
Poseidon (2006)
Very bad
I'm tired of such movies. No matter how they have been done. Instead I'm 55 I know the achievements of our age. How a man being in the middle of the ocean is speaking with his cellphone? A cell is about 5 kilometers to the next cell. I assume that the cruiser has satellite connection herself and gives connection to the passengers. That's very good. But how an sophisticated ship isn't tracked every few minutes by the GPS. Or may be it was a secret journey. If I am in trouble with my car, my men know it after 2-3 seconds no matter where I am. A big wave unnoticed - this is ridiculous. At last there is such a device called "radar" and this device will recognize a boat in 150 miles range. But today we couldn't detect the WAVE. When you watch a film like this you start to think - What is happening with American Film Industry? Lack of ideas may be? P.S Sorry for my English I am Bulgarian.
Total Recall (1990)
Sorry
I'm sorry for my poor English, I was just watching "Total Recall" and I admit that I totally has been forgotten it. But I had never forgotten Sharon Stone. I realize that cinema grows older very fast and this is natural. I have a friend (unfortunately non English speaker and writer) who is irritaded by the fact that Forman's "Hair" doesn't exist at the Top 10 movies of all time. Although he understands "The Seventh Art" his feelings, his love was given to a just melodrama. I am a technocrat and the lack of future vision by the director makes me (either I want it or not) very sceptic about the value of the "Total Recall". Ridley Scott said recently, that Science Fiction" is dead. If you cannot predict, don't do Sci Fi. Everything (at least almost),that Jules Verne predicted became true. Nothing, that was predicted in "Totall Recall" isn't. P.S. I mentioned Sharon Stone - "Casino" an example f a brilliant play. "Total Recall" is an example of an undistinguished. P.P.S. The idea of flat screens is not new, now I see some boxes looked like a 1956 recievers. P.P.P.S And why for God's sake at the end of twentietn first century people are crushing rocks with hammers - Nonsense. A highly industrial society already dropped this to the machines. I'm sorry about my weakness writing in English once again. Thank You:Zarko nanev
Bad Boys II (2003)
awful again
First I realized that a truck can drive with 100 miles per hour. Second - Every cop has a machine gun Third - before using it he shouts something like "Police, stop the car etc..." I don't understand why the director underestimates me. I refuse to believe this movie. I have often said to my daughter that the most important thing is to believe. Terry Pratchet's Discworld is fictional, but I believe to every word of his books. This movie makes me a fool, a fool that loses his time watching nonsenses pretending to appear as a "police comedy". When you kill about a hundred man you have to make your choice - is this a farce or this is a hard police story. Keystone policemen are making the same, but nobody is dieing. Here we are watching the dead and acting like imbeciles. P.S. Sorry about my poor English.
Enemy at the Gates (2001)
I do not agree
Ladies and gentlemen, I'm sorry, but this film is a disaster. I'm not Russian (I'm Bulgarian). Excluding Vasilii Zaitcev everything is just a joke. Nobody pushed them with machine guns, everyone of soldiers had rifle, or machine gun (don't forget that Mother Russia is behind them, but Germany is far away). Everything in this movie is an anti-soviet {anticommunist?) propaganda. I am an anticommunist too. I personally know people ( soldiers and officers) who have been fought in this bloody war. They are parents of my university mates. They say to me something else. At least there are books. Keep slowly friends, it has never been the Battle Of Stalingrad. It was 100 000 POW russians have been taken in the Staligrad battle.
We Were Soldiers (2002)
I don.t agree
Sorry for my poor English, but this is a movie that says to me that to be a killer is what your country wants you to be. Freedom? I don't think so. Slaves - yes may be. Big stick Diplomacy - Who will work for you? First you come with peace and when they don't want work for you for nickles then you pick up the big stick? And after that you say to me that men who was fighting for the Corporations were heroes? The only thing that Ameria wants is to find another slaves, and if they don't agree - kill them. Kill them all and what remains - be a slave. I hope that I will not be another American slave. My generation is educated enough. P.S. I am Bulgarian and I will FIGHT for my free will if I have to. P.P.S. We are Christians, not Muslims. P.P.P.S. Who are you and who do you think you are? We know who we are. Adolf Hitler dared to attack Slavs (underrace). The result we all know.
Man of the Year (2006)
Very funny
I wonder what could be happened if there was a candidate named AAron for example. Or BB King. Lack of ideas last 15 years in Hollywood. There is no more cold war, just war for poor minds of the consumers rested. A brilliant actor is playing in a stupid comedy. May be I'm growing older, but usually I want to understand the movie I watch. Now I couldn't understand anything. Nothing special was said and shown, nothing REAL was shown. There is a fantasy writer (I hope you all know him) - Terry Pratchet. He writes about Discworld, a non existing world, but I believe him in every word, but I didn't believed this movie at all. I'm Bulgarian and I read recently about how we can understand that it's an American movie. Here are some answers - when a man opens his laptop it's already and immediately connected with 10 GB/s speed with every point of the world, or aliens (they use the same operating system as humans of course). Everybody is typing with the speed of light, but never uses the "space", Every time bomb has huge digits that tell me when..., Every delivery of cocaine is something about 20-30 tons. When some evil man is going to kill the good guy, he is speaking as much time, as the good guy needs to kill him.., when you need something you just type it and the answer is ready, hackers are breaking access codes of the Pentagon if not from the first time, but from the second..., very strange blankets that look like letter "L" ( the woman is covered up to her neck, but the man is half naked...etc. Now BB,LL,GG! Everyone who knows understands. Good luck to everyone. P.S. Sorry for my poor English.
Catch a Fire (2006)
I don't know
Yesterday I watched a film that made Russians monsters in the Afganistan war (1988). I watched "Apocalypse now", when Americans were monsters many years before. Now I watch American movies that tell me about the American heroes in Vietnam. Now I watch Russian movies that tell me the about their heroes. I am confused. At last, are Americans and Russians invaders, or liberators? I have never believed creators of such kind of propaganda. As someone said "The winners could not be judged". I have a friend that told me a phrase - It doesn't matter what we are talking about. Everything is about money. I am Bulgarian. 120 years ago a Bulgarian POET and revolutionary, together with 80 men hijacked a ship on Danube River an said that he is the captain now (a terrorist?). He landed on Bulgarian coast to fight against Turkish empire to free us form Turkish yoke, and of course he died (you can not defeat an Empire with 80 men). He is national HERO, he is not a terrorist. Every year at 2nd of July at noon, the entire nation stands up in honor of him and his cause. Freedom. But another poet said that the freedom is a sweet thing, but hungry freedom is just a slavery. I'm sorry for my poor English. Best regards to Everyone. I'm tired of watching propaganda. Why IRA are heroes for somebody and terrorists for someone else? The only answer is that everything is about money. Nobody kills the slaves. They work for the master. But when a slave rises up he becomes a terrorist. There is no war, and no invasion that is not connected with money. I saw a movie when Nelson Mandela said that Castro is his best friend because in time of trouble he supported him. Now, the rich South Africa helps him. Why? To keep your power you need money (oil, el. power, gold, steel, etc.). It's very easy to live when someone works for you. And I'll do everything to keep "status quo". Every movie of this kind is just a try to acquit the fact that white man (as Jack London writes) pursues (or looks after) the black man "with the bible, gun and bottle of whisky}. That's because I don't trust this movie. P.S. Terry Pratchet writes about "Discworld", a world that is just a fantasy, but strangely I trust him more.
Le Cinquième Élément (1997)
awful
I'm sorry for my poor English. Why do directors underestimate us? If this is a movie for 10-12 years old children, then they should tell us not to waste our time. What is this "-5000 degrees"? Absolute zero is -273 degrees. How can I believe a movie, when in the very beginning for example, a man cannot see and feel thousands of watts lights, several aliens walking like elephants right behind his back? When an educated man is crying to obviously very hi-tech creatures that he will "shoot"? And why these creatures are speaking English between themselves? It's ridiculous. Things like this present in the movie almost every minute. This insults me. I'm really sorry that I cannot write in Enlish exactly what I think, but I hope that you got the line. Thank you.
