Would rate it much higher if Danny wasnt in it. SPOILERS
26 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Hollywood is the biggest hypocrite known to man.

Complain about gun violence, but glorify guns and violence at every turn to make a profit for themselves.

Complain about dirty cops and excessive force, but glorify both in cop shows to make a profit for themselves.

Because thats what Danny is. He is a dirty cop every time he beats a suspect in cuffs. He is a dirty cop every time he points a gun at someone and tells them to talk or he will shoot them. And he is a dirty cop every time he breaks the law because he really wants to catch the bad guy.

If he wasnt in the show or even portrayed as the thug he is I would rate this higher.

Some of the other characters are The grandpa who longs for the "good old days" where you could just beat a suspect if you wanted.

Erin and Jamie are as sanctimonious as they come.

The kids are kids.

Dannys wife is a filler character with no real personality of her own.

And Frank in my opinion is the best character, and probably why people watch this show.

Drawn out piffle
6 March 2023
This is the most drawn out, boring show of all of the Yellowstone genera. 1883 was depressing but held interest, Yellowstone is a soap opera in cowboy hats- but a guilty pleasure. This one is just so boring. The entire series is just wrapped around Spencer getting home and there isnt much else. And i gotta tell ya, i am sick of getting yet ANOTHER episode where Spencer is still headed home. Im over it at this point. And the OTT sexual violence which didnt do anything for the story which means its just there to show brutalizing women... this was a hugh let down compared to the others. I wouldn't recommend this one.

Generally a good show. **some spoilers**

Warning: Spoilers
This is generally a good show, but I got to where I just didnt enjoy it because of Mary. What a horrible person! This whole show is about her crooking her finger and leading on man after man to jilt them when they finally fall in love with her because she has suddenly "changed her mind". She is such a cold fish that the appeal is mystifying. Not to mention the absolute arrogance and viciousness she shows Edith. By season six I absolutely despised her and actually was rooting for her to end up miserable and alone, because it was no less than she deserved after purposely ruining so many lives. I enjoyed the rest of the series and will watch the movie when given the chance.

What a steaming pile of sh@t
8 November 2021
I have seen some terrible movies in my time, but this one ranks with one of the worst. I only started watching it because I watched Army of thieves, and loved it. So I came to this one next thinking I might be in for another treat. I should have known better as soon as I saw Dave Bautista, who has the acting skills of a potato. It was a steamer and i would advise you to run for your life on this one...i would rather chew ground glass than ever sit through it again.

Altered Carbon (2018–2020)

Season one was a 10, season two was a 2 at best.

Season one was one of my hands down favorite sci fi tv shows after firefly. But with season two the bland writing tanked it so fast it was heartbreaking. I would recommend season one to anyone, with the warning to just pretend season two dosent exist. We did see the animation movie done for this show called resleeved, and have to say it was a heck of allot better than season two.

House of Cards: Chapter 39 (2015)
Season 3, Episode 13
2/10

Warning: Spoilers
I agree with the other reviews that season three was a letdown. Frank was an amazing character as always, but Claire just pretty much ruined the season. What the heck would she be thinking to push and push to get him into the white house, then be petulant that he doesn't ask her permission before every move the president has to make? And to be furious that she is not equal to the president in the white house? The whole premise of her just coming off the rails after years of pushing for this doesn't make sense and feels almost childish. If season four doesn't pick up from the soap opera I am done.

Love/Hate
20 October 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Spoilers****** I have a love/hate relationship with this show. I stuck with it to watch the romance between Sully and Dr. Quinn, if not for that I would have given it up. The towns people are TERRIBLE! They never miss an opportunity to turn on each other, lie, cheat or generally do the wrong thing. The premise that the Calvary were just a bunch of villainous oafs that were always in the wrong got on my nerves early on as well. If this show were to be believed, high and mighty Bostonians were the only decent people to be found back then and everyone else were just a bunch of backwoods racists. I liked Sully's character though. He always said what he thought and didn't want to pretend to be anything he wasn't. Dr. Quinn seemed to like stirring trouble, but usually for a good cause. Overall I think its a bit of the ridiculous but.....I did watch every episode so....there you go.

Its pretty good.
20 October 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I like the series OK. It has a pretty good premise and gets a little unbelievable at times but has its charm. SPOILER ALERT: however i don't understand why after spending the whole first season wanting to be together...in the second season Zoe says she and George cant be together because they want each other too much? And the solution was to sleep and care about OTHER people? And Zoe sleeping with Wade who treats her like dirt most of the time and throws childish tantrums mystifies me as well.. The second season writing has taken a down turn for me as juvenile...so we will see how season three goes if i can stick it out...so far the first season sucked me in...the second season is turning me off and we will see what happens from there

Good if you can ignore the liberal agenda
5 October 2014
I have enjoyed watching the series...and it is pretty good if you can get past the liberal agenda. The show is written with a psychotically left tilt and it shows. And the writers see nothing wrong with the blatant condescension that these characters hold for all Americans...and that if you don't immediately fall into to line they will bully/threaten/ and generally grind you under their boot for having an opinion of your own. All this aside, i just enjoy the interaction between characters... I don't know if i would recommend it to anyone though. Overall i liked it, but my husband couldn't stand to watch it for more than a min or two due to the slant given to conservatives.
