Napoleon (2023)
Oof, Not Good
We all (should) know that Hollywood historical movies take liberty with actual events. That being said, holy guacamole. I'm confident that the only thing they got right was the names and maybe the army uniforms.
The next issue that might be the biggest issue, the movie is akin to a B movie in the way it's riddle with unintentional humor. So many times what is supposed to be a dramatic scene, myself and the theater audience was snickering.
Oliver Stone's Alexander is the only movie I've ever walked out of early and Napoleon is the only movie I've ever checked a watch multiple times to see how much time was left. If the stories of severe edits due to runtime are true, wait until that version is available.
TLDR; Ooof, unintentionally funny with a historical accuracy of <1%
World War Z (2013)
Lukewarm Tap Water
First things first, they build a huge wall to keep them out and then don't even guard or watch it? How does that evenly remotely make sense? It's a zombie movie, suspend belief and all that jazz, but that seems kind of lazy. To me it just seems like the whole movie is a half effort, which I know it isn't.
The X Files: Darkness Falls (1994)
Plot Holes Abound
This is easily the worst episode of season 1 and possibly the entire series. The amount of plot holes, more than one, that contribute to this episode being possible is disappointing from such a good show.
Jurassic World (2015)
Oooof, not good
Just not a good movie. So many predictable moments and one of the most awkward kisses I've seen in a movie. The chemistry between Pratt and Howard is nonexistent and they try and mush this romance on us. Furthermore, the story of the movie assumes you have an IQ well below any functioning level. I understand the whole suspend disbelief, but liberty's are taken.
Also one thing that really irked me for some reason, sometimes Howard's character is running around super well in flats and then the next scene she's standing in heels. Did they think they were fooling us into thinking she could run in those?
This movie is a cr*p sandwich sold as a Jurassic Park.
Katla (2021)
No payoff to all the questions
To start off, the show is incredibly well made. From the acting to the cinematography everything is incredibly well thought out to the smallest of details. The first few episodes setup what one can only believe is a slow burn masterpiece. As the episodes stack, more and more questions are added to the pile. Once the final episode closes, there is little to no payoff for all the questions and mysteries. Instead of a bang, the viewer is left with a whimper and more questions than answers.
Also, grief and depression can make any person do weird things but I refuse to believe a collective group of people could be this dumb, no matter how sad/depressed they are.
Extreme Archaeology (2004)
Use a boat!!!!!
The whole first episode was billed as some dangerous site at the edge of a river. They make it seem so dangerous to get to and you could literally park a boat on it! After 45 minutes they finally decide to use and boat and that's the episode! So unbelievably frustrating
