RuPaul's Drag Race: Grand Finale (2021)
Season 13, Episode 17
1/10
Worst finale and the worst season.
24 April 2021
Absolute worst season ever.

It was obvious since day one who production wanted us to like, but the fans saw right through it.

It's not a competition show anymore, it's RuPaul's Best Friend Race now.

Unfollow, unlike.

The bad reviews are all from Morrisey
19 April 2021
As a huge Smiths fan I've gotta say, this is a pretty spot on parody.

The biggest joke is that Morrissey appeared to Lisa at all.

Usually he says he'll show up, but then cancels the day before. 🤣

I was bored before it even began.

Cringiest dialogue ever in a film.

All of the forced lyrical quoting in normal conversation put my girlfriend in a coma.

The acting was mostly terrible, except for Joe Mangenelo's performance.

Done. The favouritism is obvious.

Why is this Aja wannabe still there? Honestly, brings nothing. The judges already picked their winner, and they're bending everything to make it happen.

It's good.

If you're like me and was put off by the dubbing, switch it to original German audio and watch with English subtitles.

It's actually really good.

Star Trek is now a bad CW teen fantasy series.

There's no science, logic, or reason on this show. Things just happen. Nothing makes sense.

Not sure what this is, but this isn't Star Trek anymore.

One of my favourite episodes this season.
6 December 2020
The cold open was hilarious, the Eminem skit was fantastic, the weekend update segment was spot on, Santa Claus at the mall was the funniest skit I died laughing!

Jason Bateman was a great host. Cecily Strong is possibly my favourite castmember right now she's so good.

There's potential, but it's not there yet.

Every week its The Burnham Show. This week: Disvoery goes to Vulcan, but ONLY BURNHAM CAN SAVE THE DAY!

Burnham is holding this show back.

Good. Getting better.
7 November 2020
Overall it was a good episode. I loved the story of Adira and the Trill. Loved the crew getting together with their dinner scene.

I like the direction they're going this season, it looks like they're taking the criticisms and improving where they can.

My one gripe with this episode is why Burnham went to Trill in the first place. Culber was the best choice and would have made more sense and fit the story better. Not a fan of Burnham always being the one to save the day, let someone else help out for once.

Also I'd love to get to know the crew better. We know so little about the bridge crew. Pick any previous Star Trek series. By season 3 episode 4 we know a LOT about the main crew. Discovery not so much. I know almost nothing about Detmer: shes the pilot and she has a cyborg implant, that's about it. What do we know about Bryce? Nothing.

I'd love for the show to spend less time on Burnham and give the rest of the cast a chance. I like Burnham, but I want to know some of the others better.

Overall I think it's going in the right direction, I liked this episode the best so far this season.

The best adaptation yet

Some of the special effects look dated for sure, but this is by far the best adaptation of the book.

Getting better.

Rather standard fare this week as far as plot goes. The ship has crashed and they need to repair it quick!

This episode was much better than last week's episode, proves that the show has some promise still.

The whole "Mary Sue that saves the day" routine is getting boring. The end scene was pretty cringy and took me out of it. Can we let the crew save themselves for once? Why is it always Burnham to the rescue?

Overall it was a decent episode, by any Star Trek series's standards.

Great episode, the haters are insane.

Warning: Spoilers
Not sure why it's being ranked so low on here, I thought this episode was great. Fantastic acting, great production, music is amazing, the story plot is superb. Yeah it's gory in some parts but it's a horror show, named after HP Lovecraft, what do you expect? Pretty sure the 1-star reviews are coming from homophobes that didn't like the gay character reveals and that arc. I thought the whole episode was great, looking forward to next episode. And how about Shangela and Monet for those cameos! 10s across the board.

Worst thing I've ever watched
20 April 2020
This is the honestly the worst thing on Netflix, by far, and trust me when I say that. During this pandemic I've watched everything else.

Last week it was a regurgitated Battlestar Galactica plot, now it's Mass Effect 3
20 March 2020
Next week they'll have the force and lightsabers...

Early episodes of this season are super slow to build up, and now it feels like the writers panicked, because there's two episodes left. Seems like the writers are just putting whatever wherever, whether it makes sense or not.

The plot of this episode is straight from Mass Effect, we've come full circle.

Star Trek: Picard: Broken Pieces (2020)

All of this has happened before, and will happen again.
13 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
A strange prophecy from a distant world, of a species that creates artificial life, but that artificial life evolves and turns against the colonies of its creators... I feel like this has happened before, and will happen again. So say we all.

Parts of this episode felt like a BSG episode wrapped inside the Star Trek universe, which isn't a bad thing (BSG being one of my favourite shows of all time, alongside DS9). I would like to see less of Alison Pill, and more of Seven and Elnor in the Borg Cube. Also, I'm waiting for Picard to shake off this "frail old man" persona.

Overall this is definitely one of the better episodes so far in this season.

Cringefest with a few good scenes sprinkled in.
27 February 2020
The Borg cube stuff near the end of the episode was cool, but most of the episode was cringe worthy. Not liking Raffi, Alison Pill or Narek at all. The show started out strong, but it's going downhill for me, which is a shame. Then again, most Star Trek shows have a bumpy first season, so I'm hoping it will improve.

Okay, but the judging is biased.
1 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The judges don't send home the worst piece that week. Instead it seems that they vote out the designer they don't agree with. They played favourites for sure. Daniel should have gone out during "Activewear", and again in "Military". It's obvious that the judges love him and wanted him to win.

Oof.

What a let down. Rushed, like the entire season. The writers have no idea what to do without George R. R. Martin's books to draw from.

I'll have to continue waiting for the rest of the books to be done to see how this series truly ends.
