Bloodsuckers from Outer Space (1984)
Just a fun and silly little horror comedy
If you go in with low expectations and realize this is a micro budget film, you may enjoy it. I personally love it as it was crafted by filmmakers that tried their best with very limited resources.
There are some funny and clever gags and an entertaining (if amateurish) cast. You can tell all the actors involved had a fun time with this film.
Think of Bloodsuckers as Plan 9 meets Return the Living Dead meets Planet of the Vampires. It's a regionally made Texas-based movie.
The Blu-ray release from Vinegar Syndrome provides a good documentary about the making of of Bloodsuckers. There are some insightful interviews with the director, cast and others.
Here Comes Hell (2019)
An Unexpected Horror Pleasure
Take one part Hitchcock's Rebecca, a good helping of Evil Dead and there you have it., a fun, campy, clever low budget film. In the vein of the Lovecraft Historical Society's movies, this indie is well worth the watch if you're a fan of old movies and horror comedy. Not as outrageous as Peter Jackson or Sam Raimi, this is still a smart flick.
