New World (2021)
Horrible
The game is mismanaged.
It had a rough start, lost almost the entirety of its player base within a couple of months, made a semi-comeback, just to repeat all the mistakes from the launch.
I am an avid PvP'er, DAoC, EVE and GW2 being my standard.
Open world PvP in New World does not exist, nobody flags up, as there is little incentive to do so.
PvE rewards trump PvP rewards by far.
Large parts of the game like the faction vendor shop have been abandoned.
Arena consists of one very small map.
Exploits, duping, aim botting and botting are rampant. Nothing gets really fixed for good, just temporarily to be broken again.
AGS claims that their game is server authorative, but the server side checks either do not exist or are ultra buggy.
There is no balance, each new weapon is broken for months.
Client performance is abysmal, desynchs, frame loss from continuous weapon swapping. No real full screen mode.
Crafting is a casino gamble.
If you like to run the same dungeon over and over again, with no purpose, then this is the game for you.
Other than that, stay away.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
Lots of dying characters, plot holes and CGI do not make a good movie
SPOILER: So far I have enjoyed the MCU.
I understand that 31 movies have "led" to this.
Nevertheless I left disgruntled at the end and didn't waste any more time waiting for the post credit scenes.
There was too much senseless fighting, too little story. Too many idiotic plot holes. Too many characters just killed for the sake of it.
Thor gets his ass whipped at the start of the movie, but nearly kills Thanos when he has all the stones.
At the end some of the more popular characters like Black Panther, Doctor Strange and Spiderman turn into ashes and you really KNOW that it is not going to be permanent. So why do it in the first place? Why not show how half of the universe is actually "re-balanced" and what that actually means and what the reaction of the universe will be.
Avengers are little on that scale and with some many brilliant minds in their rows they were unprepared. Civil War or not...
Unlocked (2017)
What the hell is going on?
Cliché plot, seen a dozen times before.
Main villain is shot dead at the beginning of the movie but the second it happens you know that he is not dead for real and will appear again to do the "end game".
Action scenes are bad.
The "combat tested" support guys of the main villain own themselves somehow.
The hero gal speaks a bazillion of languages, gets played by a bunch of intelligence services (hard to keep track which are involved) and somehow manages to outlast, outcombat, outwhatnot the "combat tested" guys and the intelligence services. Her main support cast are an elevator and a punk with two dogs.
The only sane thing in this movie is John Malkovich and his best scene is showing a big "fuck you". I guess this was his rating for the movie and so is mine:
1/10
