Pride (2004 TV Movie)

Well it wasn't bad but it wasn't extremely well either

Well I can't deny I like the big cats. That's one of the things that attracted me in this movie. The talking animals aren't annoying in the way of "Damn that is so fake". It looks somewhat natural in someway, it is very well computer edited. Still there are some flaws in the way they move and some scenes that did look pretty fake. Still it isn't annoying. It's a pretty good story and it's pretty realistic in the way how lions live in the real world. The biggest ledge for most people will be the talking lions part. If you accept that and accept the minor flaws: you will probably like this story.

It's family compatible so round up your kids and have good time.

Good concept, bad performance...

I have played a lot of games, including Soldiers of Fortune, Half Life 1 + 2, the Legacy of Kain series (completly) and dozens more. I will cut my opinion in to 2 sections.

Concept: The main idea was to merge the Matrix Reloaded story with this game. And it works, the story is very good and the video's between different levels just fitted in perfectly. I recommend to watch the movie and play the game. It's one heck of a story.

Game: When we look at graphics it looks good and the sound is OK. But then the game play. It stand like enormous tree but with a blurry shadow. The fighting is very good, you can see the art of motion capture in progress but there are some weird glitches from time to time. Then there were more things that bothered me. Trigers were not worked out very good. (not the triggers from the guns but I mean a script that tells the game to launch a certain event when something happens) for instants, I run through a door and pass a certain line where cops follow me through the door. I make them eat dust and return to the door. I repeat it and the same cops I killed 5 seconds ago come back to the same door again. Agant smith, what a wuss. I fought him and kicked him of the roof but he kept coming back. (yes I know hes powerful enough to survive the fall or otherwise just invades a new body) but is this the guy that gave NEO a hard time? Come on, I figured him being a lot more competition. Then the last scene futering the where you had to shoot all those sentinels, it goes all very well until you have to shoot that bomb sentinel. The thing does not move and fits on a place behind the ship (Maybe this bug is already fixed) As the ship advances the mine falls far behind but it remains visible through all the walls of the cave.

If you don't play games a lot, this game rulez. If you are a hardcore gamer: play this game if you like good story or if you are a total fan of the Matrix trilogy.
