The Chase (2021)
PLEASE BRING BACK BROOKE BURNS!!!!
Why they would hire someone with such an annoying voice and slow pace as Sara Haines is beyond me. Brooke Burns was such an appropriate host who was intelligent enough to read the questions correctly and at a fast enough pace to help the contestants. Sara, I am sorry to say, is not fast enough, nor smart enough to understand this game show. Please bring back Brooke Burns. Give the contestants a fair chance. Sara just does not understand how this game show works, nor does she have the intelligence to read the questions fast enough for this show to be fair. Plus, in my personal opinion, her voice is so grating and annoying, it ruins my experience of enjoying the show anymore. Please bring back Brooke, or any other host for that matter, since anyone is better than Sara Haines annoying voice.
I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth v. Michelle Carter (2019)
GOOD DOCUMENTARY... BUT MISSES THE REAL BOTTOM LINE
This story made me so angry.
Yes... Michelle wanted to make sure Conrad died so she could assume the role of "grieving girlfriend."
Yes, Conrad had social anxiety and was extremely depressed.
Yes, Conrad ultimately wanted to die.
Yes, Michelle made sure she did what she could to make sure he did not back out of his suicide.
Yes, Michelle was desperately lonely and attention-seeking.
Yes, Conrad was abused, depressed, socially awkward and suicidal.
BUT... let's take away ALL of the above. Also, let's take away the media's over-dramatic portrayal of both sides of the situation.
The real bottom line, in my humble opinion, is much more horrific than anything mentioned above.
My take on this sad story is this: Michelle should definitely be put away for life. Any person who could sit and listen to someone start to die, talk them into finishing when they get scared... and again listen to them until they are dead WITHOUT SENDING SOMEONE TO HELP OR SAVE THEM.... are totally sick. Michelle was capable of hearing someone she supposedly "loved" die and not call anyone to stop him. She knew where he was, what he was doing and yet did nothing. Nothing but make sure that he finished dying by coaxing him on until he was dead.
It takes a real kind of evil to make sure someone dies by belittling and berating them until the end.
When you know someone is in trouble and you do NOTHING to help, you are guilty.
