The Outsider (2020)
It started out great but....
The drama elements are great but the horror is laughable and cheesy. The characters are extremely inconsistent and I have a hard time caring about any of them. Good acting but just so poorly written.
The Outsider: The One About the Yiddish Vampire (2020)
Falling into horror tropes
I really enjoyed the first two episodes of this show. I think what it does well is the drama parts, the acting is very good. The horror is incredibly cliche. Haunting messages written on walls, silly fights with invisible entities, and worst of all "creepy" older women who jump at you like the grandma in Legion. It's so so overdone. It's not scary. Me and my boyfriend were laughing at it.

I Recommend only watching season two
I've seen the first season, second season, and what is out of the third season. The first season started off interesting but quickly morphed into a wooden supernatural cop drama, which I might have enjoyed if the acting wasn't so wooden. I found myself wanting to care about the plot and characters but just couldn't.
The second season was SO good. I was impressed with the phenomenal acting from the entire cast but particularly from John Caroll Lynch. The thing that really made me return every episode was the character studies unfolding. By the end of the season I felt like I knew and deeply cared about most of the characters. It was creepy, the plot was terrifying, and the psychological aspects were haunting. It delves into grief and regret in such an original way. I Recommend it highly.
The third season so far, which is only an episode in (trying not to judge it too soon) is fine but the acting from a few characters is genuinely awful. If you can get past bad acting then I guess I'd give it a watch. Overall I'd say the show is mediocre except for it's one shining star. I'm hoping it will give another.
Channel Zero: Insidious Onset (2018)
Watched every season and this is just bad
Within the first minute I was already upset by the very bad acting and unnatural dialogue. I was hoping that it would improve as the episode went on but it did not. The girl who plays Alice is simply not a good actress and it wouldn't be that big of a deal if she wasn't also the main character. The suspense has already been knocked down immensely by showing far too much. I just left feeling disappointed.
