The acting is NOT that great. The story has the girls leaving the house for other chores and to put out the trash - as if they cannot escape and they have them move from house to house and yet the basement looks the same. Firstly they need to change the title. It is just a badly done movie. It is a similar story to the girl in the basement but that had a good story and was well execute. When these movies are made - quite often there are details that do NOT make sense. And the little girl grew up in 6 yrs to a different age and she does NOT look at all like the little girl she was at least some similiar features...

While the entire story is not bad, Hallmark has a huge collection of christmas movies but many are so badly acted that you what a few minutes and then turn it off. This particular one - that actress went about as if she was under an electric shock. Terrible acting. Who is she? The guy I am familiar with and he was not bad. The actress who played her sister was far more likeable and jenu-ine and the character of a her mum was good but one bad actress can ruin it for all. Sometimes Hallmark movies are so over done it and this was one of them. It is a pity as the story was an interesting angle but I think they should have gone with another actress.

I am a fan of lifetime movies but some of them have such bad acting, and this movie is one of them. When they do scenes with babies involved, they must make it look real. You can tell they are holding a doll from they way the carry it and move it about. Some lifetime movies have a great story and great acting but some are just so mediocre. It is hard to imagine in this day and age. The story is nothing unusual. I must say I was quite disappointed. It could be a much better movie if it was produced and directed better. Even the father having his heart attack was strange and very badly potrayed. The woman playing the assistant is a lousy actress and hardly cuts the profile of an ex convict.

While the story is not a bad one, the worst part was when the mother and father were holding that crying baby - it was so obvious there was no baby... one would think that after all the great movie - one learns to plan such scenes to make it look as real as possible. Some of the acting is terrible. I have watched loads of lifetime movies but some are just terrible acting and directing or production. There are so many nanny movies and many end up with the same crazed woman - obsessed and psychotic. It would be nice to change the story a bit. But this level of quality in a movie is just bad. I enjoyed the beginning but the end was just terrible that I switched off.

It takes a lot of strength to watch a movie like this.. and it is a shocking reminder of the cruel, pathetic, perverted and disgustingly despicable world we live in.. It is hard to imagine a young girl gave birth on her own to 4 children and they lived in a basement for 20 yrs without going insane.. not sure how much the movie retells the real story of the. Fritzl case.. However, they could have made the girl age - she went down there at 18 and came back at 38 and she didnt look a day older.. a little far fetched in terms of characters shown for the movie.. the acting on the most part was good but its hard to wrap ones head around such a.case.

Chloe's injury to her eye after the accident was to the right side of her face...yet after surgery, the left side of the face shows bruises and the right side is clear???? Joe reacts oblivious to what her mother says to him about her having been through a lot...he reacts with an "oh yes?" He rescued her from a big fire with her dog and she lost everything....did the directors/producers forget that.... I love this series but there is some bad acting and some mishaps!

My initial take was not as good as grey's anatomy but after having watched the entire first season, I have to say, it me wanting more and now I am a little bit addicted.
While the cast seems to change quite rapidly, there is a lot more emphasis on medical cases and less on the drama of personal lives as is the case with Grey's Anatomy. Of course, one can only hope emergency rooms aren't as chaotic. Angels'Memorial seems like some crazy hole you'd find in some remote part of Asia and not a top notch ER in the US. I have spent a fair bit of time in hospital and have never seen so many doctors and staff attending to one patient....It's so crowded and in this day and age and with today's technology some issues seem a bit far fetched or exaggerated to the point where it become laughable and not believable.
I am a fan of Marcia Gay Harden and I did love Raza Jaffrey...that accent of his is such a turn on. Of course, I am sure women are drooling over Boris Kodjoe but I love the character of Harry Ford....and his brother.
It is nice to see a series with such a racial mix and given today's world of madness and racism especially with issues in the US, that is much needed.
I like that the creator covers many issues - gay, lesbians, racial issues, craziness, gun violence, bombings etc...
All in all a good series and I hope it continues but and the creator doesn't go to crazy.

Does this movie have a story...
It is like the chainsaw massacre. Are Directors looking the plot.
What a ghastly movie.
I didn't know whether to laugh or throw up This world is in a mess as it is, do we really need to have people watching this grotesque excuse for a story.
The only thing likable was the dog.
One can barely understand that cat.
Ryan Reynolds has been know for some great movies but not this one The man is talking to a head, a dog and a cat.
What next?!!!

While it's a touching story, Diane Keaton tends to play the same sort of Character.
I have seen ALL her movies but now it is become a little tiresome.
What is with those high-waisted skirts and belts...???
I know these movies are some years apart but always the same character as "I told you so" OR "something's gotta give"
I liked her role in Family Stone or First Wives Club but sometimes she seems a little over the edge....or may be she is in Character.
Michael Douglas who is usually the more devious character and arrogant, does show a softer side.
On the whole, not a bad movie.....
For those of you who are die hard Diane Keaton fans, you'll enjoy this.
I may be a little critical but I must admit, these types of movies do help to try and make the world a better place, just by the story itself.

This movie brought me to tears.
Our mother does not have ALS but very similar symptoms and she can not eat orally and has no skull bone in one part of her head, but to anyone suffering or caring for a loved one with ALS or does not understand the gravity of ALS, this movie is a must see.
This movies educates people, to some extent, about ALS and its destructiveness but also the hardships of caring for an individual with a crippling disease and what you can do to help an individual through music or swimming or just trying to do normal things like go out.
Brilliant acting on the path of both Hilary Swank and Emmy Rossum.
It's been a long time since I saw a movie that has moved me, the way this one did.

Not only is the story bizarre but the quality of acting is so poor. I was thoroughly disappointed. I was surprised it got a 4.8 rating as it does not even deserve a 1.
There are some movies (including Hallmark) where the story is good but the acting is very poor and trust me when I say this, because I have seen my fair share of good movies.
This is not only terrible but the character of Wendy!!!!!!!!!?????? It could have been a really good movie if it was planned well. As the girls arrive, they are wining and dining with the help and one evens sleeps with the guy within the first or 2nd night of meeting.
I noticed that a lot in movies. Complete strangers meet and within the first night, they are kissing and sleeping with each other. I think the Movie Boyfriend for Christmas had that happen too. Wow....A man walks into through your door and next you are sleeping with him.
Anyway, I went of track there, back to this movie. Ghastly and I would certain not recommend anyone even think of watching it. Waste of time
