Apache: La vida de Carlos Tevez (2019)
A work of art
Even if you are not a soccer fan, you can watch it. I myself am not a huge fan of Carlos Tevez, and I was a sceptic before starting this show. Oh, my!
The action keeps going, the show keeps you glued to the screen. And the chain of events is great, not too fast, not too slow. I would say the best part of the show is cinematography- the shabby buildings and clothes, poverty, gangs, they all depict the terrible conditions of poor hoods in S.America.
The main actors did a great job here, too.
A masterpiece, give it a try.
St. Vincent (2014)
Acting at its finest
This is the first movie where you can see Bill Murray as bad guy (kind of). Nothing is black and white in the movie, all the characters have their virtues and flaws, and the acting. THE ACTING! Murray is amazing here, great replicas and gestures of a grumpy old guy. You won't waste time watching this movie.
Sergio (2020)
A masterpiece. Forget the negative reviews.
A great movie, based upon a true story of a great person, a UN diplomat. We see both sides of his persona, the official and private. All the aspects from these two sides infuence and depend on each other. A 10-star acting by Wagner Moura. He is one of the best non-US actors of our time. If you like great true-story films and political dramas, this is a MUST SEE.
Captain Phillips (2013)
A predictable lemonade
As it says in the title, the word predictable van be used to describe many aspects of this movie: the ending, the good guys VS bad guys etc. After the first 5 mins of the movie, I could guess the ending.
Also, the movie needs a lot of reality checks. Amateur pirates who dont know how to use guns, with no shoes, attacking a US ship almost with no plan. The US ship full of valuable cargo has no weapons, no security? And many many more. This movies looks like a cheap propaganda movie, below the likes of Top Gun or Rambo. The only silver linings here are star actors: Tom Hanks and Abdi. The story.. meh.
