Just Married (1998)

The bourgeoise art of "love"
7 February 2022
A film about the fragility of love in a relationship, the search for options outside of the cage of marriage. "It is all not that easy."

The movie is short and watchable. It leaves me with a feeling of something missing, some plot or ideas which weren't present in it.

Turgenevs Asja - a classic on screen almost like on paper
6 February 2022
First of: I couldn't find any subtitles.

I do not understand Russian very well, some dialogues are in German. I knew the book. I could understand most of the dialogues, but not all of them. I really liked the Æstetics of the movie, Asya is showed in the film almost like I imagined her reading Turgenev. Elena Koreneva played her role as her extraordinary!

Must watch, especially for cineasts
3 January 2022
This movie is an extraordinary piece of German film. Originally released for TV, it has never reached the potential it had. The main actors are astonishing. It is absolutely one of my favourite German movies about (serial) killers. Too bad probably no person ever will watch it, because it is rarely available.
