Most artistic I've seen
23 June 2013
In all honesty, this is probably the most artistically adept creation I've ever seen, pun intended. The "Flood" segments tie the story of the Creation together, and are animated in a typical 2D animation style. But the "Creation" segments, for the most part, have a very surreal animation technique - I believe it's paint on glass. The music fits perfectly with the story, and the portions between the angels are on the level of Paradise Lost in film. It's that good.

This is also one of the few TV series I've found that portray Biblical stories without being preachy and with this kind of realism. It is also one of very few Western animations I've seen that is distinctly /not/ for children - this episode has both female and male nudity, though not explicit. The entire thing is a good watch for the artistic and literary value, even if you're not religious, and I highly recommend it all. This episode is my favorite because of the stylistic choices, though.
