Jawbreaker (1999)
Unrealistic, stupid, frustratingly.
The movie was a little less than so-so in general. However, if anyone wants to watch a movie that at least pretends to make sense, then this is not the one. Stupidity from the beginning to end, and not that that's a bad thing. But it somehow offends that the producers or directors or screenwriters tried to pass off several parts of the movie when anyone with half a brain could have realized that - not going to spoil. But, after watching, you are plagued with, 'but that wasn't at all realistic, they made those people stupid, that couldn't have happened, duh' and eventually the conclusion is, watching that movie was an unbelievable waste of time.
The Birds (1963)
Don't bother if you value your sanity
Alfred Hitchcock: depending on you, you will either love him or hate him with all your guts. If you like barf-causing horror and suspense to render your limbs into jelly, as well as a un-foreseeable twist, then this is your movie. It is appreciatable, no matter what. But if you are a person who appreciates movies that make you roar with laughter and recall it the next night with a smile, you will HATE this movie. It will render you to a trembling mass of nerves, and leave you fuming with outrage at the end. If you appreciate suspense, mystery, twists and a movie that will keep your eyes glued to the screen, you could not find a movie to beat The Birds. Otherwise, leave it well alone.
Ghost (1990)
Million buck movie, don't miss it.
This. Is. The Best. Movie ever!!! I don't have a favorite movie (so many, how to choose) but this would probably be it. It has sci-fi, suspense, horror, action, drama, romance, sex, comedy, every thing. You're cringing, then crying, then laughing your butt off. Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore play two lovers torn apart by death, seriously making you cry. While Patrick and Whoopi banter and argue to make the funniest scenes. You have your bad guys, the slimy and the scary, but yauaugh, the ending is a bit gross- be warned. But still, you cannot miss this movie, it is sooo gooood. The ending is a big tear bringer, with the saddest song and the even sadder goodbye... I've watched parts of the movie so many times. It's a winner.
Made in America (1993)
A must see
This was so funny. It was fabulous. You laugh straight through, except for the part in every movie when the going gets tough. Really, Whoopi is a crazy-in-traffic mother with an attitude. After her husbands death she went to a sperm bank. But oh, how could this happen, they mix it up. She asked for a tall, intelligent black man. Now she's clashed together with "Hal" ('s your pal), the actual sperm donor. But he's not black and he's a car salesman. He is tall, and we withhold judgment on the intelligence scale. The only match is their traffic skills (or lack thereof, depending on how you look at it) and their sensible daughter. Her pal, T-cake (Will Smith), is a gem. You should watch the movie just to see him swing his butt pretending to be an angry girl.
