Gravity (2013)
The best film of 2013
GRAVITY is an incredible film. It uses 3D to an amazing effect, and I usually dismiss 3D as a gimmick. The cinematography is spellbinding, and you feel as if it was shot in space, none the less feel like you are in space while watching it. The special effects are incredible. They are computerized, but it does not seem computerized, as it just looks like it has always been that way. Acting from Sandra Bullock is just amazing, and I think she will win another Oscar. The script was great too. Alfonso Cuaron has made an impeccable job of this film, and it should be enjoyed by everyone who enjoys good films. I hope that you will enjoy this film as much as i did?
Evil Dead (2013)
Absolutely amazing
I have been waiting to watch this since January, and I missed it in theatres (and was really disappointed!), but here I am reviewing it on the day it is out on DVD. I waited 8 months for it, and it was totally worth it. This movie has your eyes glued to the screen from start to finish. Jane Levy was stellar, and Fede Alvarez did an incredible job as the director. I read about what a hard time the cast had filming it, and I can't believe that they are willing to do other projects. This is not an average horror movie, and has an actual plot, compared to some other horrors this year. And the Special effects were fantastic, and limiting the usage of CGI definitely works in horror movies. It will remind you of the horrors from the 70's and 80's. Overall, the best horror I have seen this year, and Jane Levy definitely has big things coming her way.
Teen Beach Movie (2013)
This is awful. 1/10
This is just awful. AWFUL. Disney Channel have been going down a slippery slope recently, and this just proves how bad it has actually become. This movie has the worst plot line I've ever heard of. They are surfing, they get stuck in a wave, and are then in a movie. They then have to converse with the most annoying characters, with even more annoying names. The musical numbers are bland and shrill, even Disney Channel watchers will struggle to like them. None of these points emphasize how BORING this movie is. It is mostly just the protagonists arguing over what they should do. How someone could enjoy this is beyond me. Instead of making these films, Disney Channel should be showing good kids movies, like Ghostbusters, Home Alone and the like. If I can stop someone from seeing this movie, I have done my job. Watch something that will not bring your IQ down.
