Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004)
My Reckon
This has to be the most funniest movie i saw in 2004. It was just so funny, I can't believe it didn't go big in the box office. Freakshow was so stupid and funny, and his wife, well she was one got sort. That's what you call a hot bitch. What else, the girl Maria is also hot and so is the part at the beginning where Kumar is in the job interview. The only bad thing about the movie I reckon is that at times it does get a little boring... but something funny will happen right after which is why I give it 8. Maria in the movie - she is 31 soon, yet you look at her, you can be forgiven for thinking she is a teenager. Harold and Kumar, you need a sequel to this!!! Uncle Poita, out
Night Class (2001)
Seduced by a Thief... Over View
This is a great film featuring great visual and audio effects. The movie itself contains the 3 "s" characteristics, which are stealth, secrecy and skill. All characteristics a burglar must have. The film is set in urban USA, where a hotel security guard tries to discover the real thief of a sentimental ornament stolen from the hotel he once worked at. Due to the stolen artifact, the bouncer is immediately the primary suspect and is fired in the first instant. This movie will keep you hooked as the seductive Sean Young plays a secret Allie to Jake and shows her professional burglar characteristics with the 3 "s" and at the same time, makes a very good connection with him. Dana Barron plays a small-time role in the movie as Jake's sister which add's realism to the movie. A great movie, easy 10/10.
The Scorpion King (2002)
Great Movie
This movie was a really really great movie to kick-start The Rocks movie career. He has previously been an actor (in WWF and such) but this was his first high-profile Hollywood hit... he only starred in the last 5 minutes of the mummy returns which can hardly be classified as a high profile acting role. This movie is great as he remains the last surviving Arcadian after many years of battle with his arch Nemesis. In the end, the rise of this skilled Arcadian assassin bring the Arcadian back from the dead and unite good to overtake the power of evil in the dark ages of the world. A truly great movie which is pumped full of great action scenes as well as the odd humorous spot to break the ice. 7/10
Ballistic (1995)
Terrific Movie (not sarcasm)
This is a really great action film. Being in Australia, the movie down here was called "Fist of Justice", not Ballastic. It really did have some great action scenes, when the girls face off against each other in a death match, and the drop-dead gorgeous Marjean Holden wins, and when Sam the Fighting Man defeats the other guy in the test, and I think the Gun-Fight between Marjean's on-screen father and the Asian guy was also good. I can say that I recommend this movie to anyone, a typical ending, good prevails over evil, but the action is what scores this movie points. There are some adult scenes in this movie, that is all OK, some other great movies have had such scenes, such as Basic Instinct... the big bonus this movie contained was that it was a female/male action movie, not just based on single sex-based action movie, like Charlie's Angels (Ladies) or Die Hard (Males) - this movie is more broken down and a little like street fighter in the gender base. I give it 7/10
Casper (1995)
boo yea
Casper, this is such a great movie, heaps funny and the only thing wrong with it really is that it was beginning to for a sequel... UNfortunately, Christina Ricci, the chick that plays Kat, lived a different acting life and it seems that as soon as it became legal, she started heading for the 'adult' sextion movies. It just makes you wonder where some people go in life. The movie is really great though, the machine that grooms the people at the start of the day is great and the potion to turn somebody from a ghost to a human was also pretty neat. I like the part in the beginning the most where the whole gang is around the breakfast table and they are all getting to know each other better... the ghosts don't even seem to have a real problem with the fact that other people are living in their house... if I could, I would live in that house with those 3 wacky ghosts for a week, but it seems the only thing I would be around would be dust and an old rusty mansion. 9/10
The Fast and the Furious (2001)
Great...
Great Movie set in the Means Streets of L.A. and also in the desert of Arizona. Many people can relate to Vin's Character Dom as he is like gravity, many things get pulled to him. Also, it becomes apparent in the film that as Brian joins Dom's group, their lives start falling apart... Jesse ends up dying, Vince ends up with a life-threatening injury, Leon and Letty are not seen again, Vin escapes the L.A. scene and nobody really knows whats happens to Mia. Brian was meant to be working for the good of things as a police officer and he feels the guilt of making their lives fall apart and that is the reason why he lets Dom go at the end of the movie. 2 Fast 2 Furious however, does not tie the loose ends up that this movie leaves behind, which is rather disappointing. 8/10
2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)
Such a great movie
Brian is such a ladies man in this movie as he is in every movie - Vin Deisel should so have been in this movie, him not being in it recked it. Tyrese Gibson did play a good role as roman Peirce and he was a great actor in this movie, very funny and tough, I think that he should be snapped up by a Hollywood asap as he is the "must have" person in any movie role he plays. The Cubans were being asses through the hole movie as was Carter. One question though, how did Carter know that O'Connor and Pierce were 'originally' going to the airstrip? And how did he know that Monica was a cop towards the end? The only problem with this flick is that there are heaps of loose ends that need to be tidied up, including some from the original movie. But then again which movie doesn't? 10/10
Blade: Trinity (2004)
A little like...
yea the movies has some features similar to the matrix, overall a great movie, and i would give it 11/10 if I could, and by watching the ending of the movie, you can tell that number 4 is on the way! I was saddened by the death of good old whistler i mean, i thought he died during the sequel and seeing him again in this movie was good yet confusing, will he be back in number 4? I also felt sorry for the blind lady because the way she died was so awful, so gutless, and i really felt sorry for her and her daughter. Jessica Beil was great however i think Ryan Reynolds was being an ass throughout the whole movie and i think that triple H kept up his "everyone hates me" reputation by being an asswhole throughout the whole movie, but these things are what make a good movie a great movie!!!
