Awful Film
20 April 2010
This is honestly one of the worst films I have ever seen. It made me laugh for all the wrong reasons: stilted dialogue; awful camera-work; and terrible acting. It makes sense that the lead actor is one of the writers... he wouldn't have been cast otherwise. Naturally, like most people, I bought this because Bret, Jemaine, and Rhys from Flight of the Conchords are in it. The fact that Jemaine and Rhys are hardly seen didn't bother me at all, the film could've still been really good without them. But it was horrendous from start to finish.

I bought this for £6 in a sale, whereas really it should have been in a bargain bin somewhere for 50p.

I'll never watch it again!

Catterick (2004– )
Surreal humour from Vic and Bob
9 May 2005
Catterick may not be as hilarious or well-polished as Spaced and The League of Gentlemen, but it's definitely worth a watch if you like that kind of comedy.

Written by and starring Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, it is clear from the start that it isn't going to be an ordinary sitcom. The show follows two brothers, one of whom is searching for his estranged son, around the town of Catterick. Along the way they encounter some very odd people, such as a cruel but very funny hotel owner played by Matt Lucas, and a psychopath played by Reece Shearsmith.

It's pretty surreal humour at times, with characters suddenly miming along to songs in the middle of scenes, and others having conversations that appear to make no sense whatsoever.

It may not set anyone's world alight, but it's definitely worth a watch.
