What Happened to Monday (2017)

A pretty good movie.

Sci-fi, futuristic action adventure, with a little deserved karma (and a twist). That's a good movie for you. All the protocols for good acting, camera work and effects and all the other realistic stuff are in excellent place. The story line is typical, but if you are in the mood for a good "new" movie to have fun with and to just sit there, let loose and enjoy. I give this film a high rating.

It is hard not to spoil the movie here, so take my word, be flexible for a fictional story that breaks the rules in some places (not rules as in continuity, but in real life situations).

Why the low ratings by some people, I don't understand. This movie is not a David Lynch or Shane Carruth creation where you need to watch them 2 or 3 times to understand.

Oblivion (I) (2013)

A unexpectedly really good movie.

Without revealing any spoilers, I saw this movie "out of the blue". Never saw a trailer (I still haven't). I remember hearing the name of the movie and completely forgot about it, and just decided to take a chance and watch it on cable TV one night. It is a Sci-Fi movie with a human heart, so you don't need to be a science fiction fan to enjoy it. Also, I am not a Tom Cruise addict, but he does a great job in his usual way. In fact, all the actors portray their characters very well.

There is mystery, action, a little bit of love, and some adventure. The beginning is good, there is a high point, and the ending of the movie is satisfactory in my opinion. The special effects are executed in a way not to take away from the story or the plot, and the story does not revolve around them, but rather they are just a part of the story. If you are looking for a good movie to watch, I have to say it is well worth the viewing, not too predictable. Sit back and relax, you'll enjoy this gem.

Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa (2013)

It has its funny moments - I enjoyed it

I admit, I had a few good laughs in this movie. It is better than what I had expected (different from the Jackass movies). Some people may say that this movie is scripted, well they are partially correct, but the candid shots of the unsuspecting people are real. How else could you produce a full feature movie without some sort of script or story line? Yes, it has the potty jokes and is crude, so take that with a grain of salt. If you like that kind of humor, then you are in for a treat.

Johnny Knoxville keeps his character consistent and the little kid (Jackson Nicoll) does a good job too.

With that said, sit back and enjoy the movie for what it is... ...and pass the popcorn.
