The Porter (2022)
welcome to the CBC
The story is excellent, the acting is superb, the CGI - is pathetic.
Every mini series of the CBC's I've watched is the exact same - great actors, great story, but the stage/CGI looks like a grade school production. . .
The Lost City (2022)
Cheap Knock-off
While I separately enjoy all of these actors, I found the movie to be less than entertaining.
This is, in my humble opinion, a poor remake of the 1984 "Romancing the Stone."
Jojo Rabbit (2019)
Brilliant Film!!!
One of the best written, and funniest satires I've seen since Mel Brooks. . . The characters were engaging, and wonderfully over the top. . . a brilliant film.
Miracle Workers (2019)
Great Cast - Very Sad Program
Seeing that Steve Buscemi and /Danial Radcliffe were in this I was excited to check out this new program, but I wa to late.
Even giving this program CRP it wold only die on a gurney. :(
Outlaws and Angels (2016)
So VERY Sad
I'm constantly baffled how quality actors end up in horrible movies?
How does Luke Wilson, Terri Polo, and Chad Michael Murray end up is such an utterly unwatchable movie???
The acting by the supporting actors is dreadful, you can almost see the pain on the "real," actors faces.
The script is deplorable, and the pace of the movie shows no glimmer of hope for escape.
I felt like I had been watching this for hours, checked and it was only 22 minutes in.
Watch paint dry. . . you'll have a better time.
Roadies: Life Is a Carnival (2016)
It has potential
I love the concept but I need to say that having some incredible talent like Luis Guzman and Ron White only showing up in the pilot is a cheap move.
I would love to see their characters developed. . . so much passion and knowledge shown in the first 25 minutes. I could watch episodes of a rookie listening to and learning form their stories and experience. . .
The worst part is the antagonist Whitehead. I'm sorry but he ruins the show for me.
This could simply be an amazing series about life as a roadie. . .and I would love it. Why do you need to add a poncy, clueless prat to the show and ruin the flow and symmetry?
Left Behind (2014)
Book 1 of 15 - Possible Spoilers
Here is the problem with this movie - it is based on an exceptional Christian novel series; of which the first 10 books are excellent.
If the movie is doing the books justice then the "Left Behind," did it's job, kind of. The whole purpose of the first book was to establish the main characters, set the catalyst for the stories "the Rapture," and lay the ground work for the rest of the books, namely dealing with repentance, and being witnesses to the tribulation.
Sadly the movie spent far too much time on the plane and not enough time dealing with the rise of Nicolae Carpathia and the formation or the tribulation force. This leads me to believe that the rest of the books will not be made into movies.
Only Hollywood knows why they would do this. . .
