Nothing less than the finest western ever created!
27 November 2015
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly is a classic 'spaghetti' western, with unforgettable characters and, in my opinion, the greatest ending to a movie ever. Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach and Lee Van Cleef give 3 iconic performances. There is no good, there is only bad. Although film is named 'The good', none of the characters are heroic. Eastwood is a backstabbing fraud. Wallach is a dirty rebel. And Van Cleef is a lying bounty hunter. The story is the first of its kind, an undeniably iconic story in fact. The soundtrack is one of the best ever made, Ennio Morricone has made countless other iconic tunes, but absolutely none of them can beat his incredible 'Ecstasy of gold'. The film has loads of quotable dialogue such as "There are 2 kinds of people in this world... Those with loaded pistols... And those who dig... You dig." Its 3 hour run time flies by, it has a fantastic 3 act structure and a truly unforgettable ending. Strongly recommend this one.

Interstellar (2014)

Incredibly over rated...
27 November 2015
The film is full to the brim with spectacular visuals, and it definitely deserved its Oscar for visual effects. The story is really cool, until the last act of the movie when I feel it gets too complicated. Not that I don't understand, I understand it perfectly. It's just that it literally makes no sense. The majority of the dialogue is so wishy-washy, for example "sometimes I look up to the stars and think about our place here in the dirt." And I just think it sounds tacky. None of the characters are developed well enough besides Matt McConaughey and Jessica Chastain, it's like the main character completely forgot about his son. His son is only in the movie for a short period of time, and the film is almost 3 hours. For the most part of the film, it is fun to watch and thoroughly interesting. But I feel that Nolan just gives us a complex story to cover up his weak and uninteresting characters. It's an okay movie, but it has so many flaws. It does not deserve that #29 spot at all.

Awesome

Men, women and children is an intriguing movie about how the internet can influence our lives and what it can do to us if we stay in that 'world' for too long. There were multiple different stories in this film, all were great. Also the characters were all well developed and all have secrets that will make you question whether your own best friends have secrets and even your partner! The soundtrack was also very good and i really want to listen to it right now! The acting is great! Ansel Elgort is amazing, Jennifer Garner is also great. Jennifer Garner's character is all about protecting her daughter on the internet. She is paranoid that her daughter will come across a predator and she is just over protective. Adam Sandler is also great, he is addicted to pornography and has forgotten what it is like to be loved again. This film is great, I think it is a very under rated film which will be more appreciated as it ages.

RoboCop (2014)

Its alright.

Its alright. I really enjoyed the first one because of its ultra violence and awesome one liners "I'd buy that for a dollar!". This one didn't feel that way to me, it didn't feel like an action movie and it was more of a 'getting to grips with something new' movie, if you understand? I thought it had some good points too! His suit looks epic, his bike is epic and they even re-vamped up the soundtrack, of witch isn't used enough in this movie! There were moments where i thought "the soundtrack would sound even more awesome right now". The acting is perfect, Gary Oldman steals the spotlight and even Robocop was good! The age was a twelve in my cinema and i completely disagree with that! STOP BEING GREEDY! All they went is money, they know kids will watch this and they will make a bomb off of it! It makes the movie less enjoyable to watch as there are kids screaming constantly in the cinema. this even meant they had to tone down the violence a bit! The reason many of us loved the first one! But the action sequences were good and the start to this movie goes off in a bang. I like that we see him with his family, and i like that we see him grow emotions throughout the film. The ED 209 was in this and they looked cool, they didn't say "you have 20 seconds to comply" witch disappointing me also. Overall its worth what you pay for, but not worth buying on DVD. Its an OK film, a bit disappointing.
