Beckett (2021)
Completely Pointless
This movie was all over the place, erratic, and utterly pointless. It was a waste of time and talent, and I cannot figure out how it was greenlighted. Do not waste your time, there are much better movies to watch.
Into the Grizzly Maze (2015)
Very Disappointing
I watched this movie on the strength of the actors, but was very disappointed by the storyline and execution. The movie made the female characters look weak, and the male characters were completely incompetent. For seasoned woodsmen, they were the lousiest shooters I've ever seen. All the characters were continuously placed in precarious and ridiculous scenarios to keep the tension moving, and it was all pointless. Just skip this one, there are much better movies out there.
Stowaway (2021)
DO NOT waste your time!
Despite seeing the low scores, I felt there had to be some redeeming factors based on the cast. The movie was beautifully shot, which is about the only reason I gave it a 2. The glaring plot holes were just completely ridiculous, and there really was no point to the story at all. And the sacrifice at the end was just the icing on the cake. I don't want to give anything away, but please go find something better to do with your time than watch this. It was really disappointing.
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
Why'd They Even Bother to Release the First One?!
This movie was simply incredible, hundreds of times better than the theatrical release. Sure, it was 4 hours long, but that gave time to adequately develop the characters (even the villains), build the story, and set the stage for upcoming sequels. Plus they removed a lot of the silly scenes from the first release, which didn't belong in an epic of this caliber. This is how movies should be made.
The Dark Half (1993)
Another flat Stephen King adaptation
I really enjoyed the book, with all the supernatural tension and character development. But the movie just fell flat. It deviated from the book in several major and inexcusable ways, most notably the sparrows. I thought the cast could carry it, but it just never materialized. I suggest just reading the book and skipping the movie altogether.
